Monday Weigh In!

There is nothing more frustrating that doing everything right and not reaping the rewards for it.

I know people swear by the 5 day but I view it as another fad diet. Of course weight will come off those days but what happens when we eat normally again?

Your body will give up those pounds this week if you keep at it. That is what mine does. If I don't have a loss one week, it shows up as a little bit larger loss the next week.

I'm glad that Johnny is supportive of you. Paul tries but his idea of support is different then mine.

I found that I really like the Chocolate shakes I was drinking last week. And since I have 4 kids to get ready in the morning, it's perfect for breakfast for me. So I plan on doing the shakes every morning for breakfast, unless I would have the time for an omelette.

Snacks are the hardest for me. But I am going to have a Hard Boiled egg, cheese, or something along those lines.

Dailyplate says that I should be getting 1353 calories per day. So I have been aiming for 1300-1350 per day. Do you think that seems right Jennifer?

Sorry to annoy you and I know you aren't an expert, but you have had alot of success and have played around with your diet to find what works. So I am wondering if calories need adjusted?

Just trying to pinpoint where to change things and I am at a loss.

Next week I won't be weighing till Tuesday........so we shall see.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

According to the Daily Plate I should be eating even more calories but I don't believe them. I think it says that if I want to lose 2 pounds a week I have to eat 1800. I am going to send you my log in so you can see my daily eating. Keep in mind, I don't log vegetables but eat tomato and cucumber daily. I also don't log if I pop a few grapes or have a bite or two of something little. Sometimes after I sign off for the day I will eat a 100 calorie bag so my totals may seem low but add 200 calories onto what is documented.

The reality of dieting is you have to burn more then you take in. I do think that protein keeps me full longer and that too many carbs do make me feel hungry sooner however, my balance seems to be for every 1 protein I eat 1.5 carbs. That ratio seems to be working. I am going to send you my password on Facebook since OH takes forever to send messages lately.

Thanks for sending me that. I went over a few days worth to get some ideas. I have "fiber" issues. I don't get enough in and I am working on that one.....

I am thrilled for you, Jennifer!  I can't wait to see that picture of you that's only about 10 pounds away!

I keep telling myself I need to exercise, and I do go for walks with Charlotte, but it is more like strolling than exercise, but I guess it's better than nothing.  We did not go walking like I wanted when Joe was home.  Well, we did a handful of times, but mostly we were so tired out from all the activities we were trying to cram in.  I don't know if I will ever get a chance to truly exercise like I would like to until Joe is home for  good, and I have my treadmill back in the house.  I know... excuses, but sad to say it is probably true.  I really admire your tenacity in the exercise department!

Well, as far as the scale goes, it was not awful.  This morning I weighed 158.0; last week was 159.2, for a loss of 1.2 pounds.  Yesterday was my first real day of trying.  It seems it would just be much easier to eat junk at this time because I am bummed out, but I know it will get easier in all respects as some more time passes.  Even though I am only 4 pounds heavier than I was at the beginning of July, I feel huge!  It's mazing how much difference a couple of pounds makes when you get to a lighter weight.  I have been wearing my "fat pants" to work, even though I probably don't need to - it's just my frame of mind right now.

Well, here's to a great week, everyone!

I have to run because it is going to rain so I have to rush and walk. I think this is day 13 of rain. The whole state can be dry and my county gets rain. It sucks.

Congratulations on the 1.2 pounds. You are doing great and those 4 pounds can be off you in just a week or two!

I realized today that I am halfway to my goal. I started at 240 and want to get to 130 so 55 pounds is halfway!

I will post a picture when I meet Andrea at Disney around September 1st. I have a few pictures of only certain parts of me taken at Disney last October so it will be nice to compare. The only full body shot of me was taken by Reagan and my dresser was a mess so I don't want to post it LOL.

Jennifer, we have the same goal weight. I was at goal at about 12 months out. Went right back to it after I had Riley, and am struggling to get to it after Jantzen. Maybe by the time you get to goal, I will be there too!

I was thinking I may try exercising at a different time of the day. With working full time and all the kiddos it's so freaking hard to get it in. I may try something new beginning tomorrow for a few days and see how it works and how I feel.

I think the opposite is true too... If you're not willing to diet, don't frustrate yourself with exercise. I joined the Y and have been going for 2 months now, and the same 2 pounds keep going up and down. Same as BEFORE i was exercising.. So I kind of feel like "What's the point?"  but I know it's good for my health... But I hate going...

Congrats on your loss (you don't say That every day ) and keep up the good work!

Congrats Jennifer on your weight!  You are doing awesome!!  I am a bit confused on my weight.  Last week on Friday I was up to 107 pounds.   I would not have weighed...but they weighed me at the doctor's office.  My scale is usually 1 pound different than the doctor..usually 1 pound lighter.  So anyway..onto my weight today.  I weighed this morning...I had already eaten breakfast...so technically that should make me weigh a little bit more...and I only weighed 103.6...which means at my doc I would weigh a pound heavier.  I just don't get how I could lose that much in 3 days!  I am not doing anything different...in fact...I am eating MORE than I have been over the past month.  I guess the only thing I am doing different..is I have started having a smoothie every day with 24 grams of protein in it.  Maybe the protein is making me lose weight?????  I'm not sure!  All I know is I NEED to hit 125 pounds so I can get rid of this stupid TPN and PICC line.  I have had it since Memorial day.  I thought I would be getting rid of it by the end of August...but I don't see that happening now at the rate I am going...GRRRRRRRRRRRRR I wish my body would cooperate...I SO want to be normal again!
