baby reflux
my son had LOTS of the infant reflux. He couldnt get any relief... even thought we elevated the head of his crib. the first like... 4 months... he only slept in this bouncer... so he was basically sitting u p in order for him to get any kind of sleep.

I'm starting to think we're headed that way, except he isn't very fond of the bouncer!

Yeah.. my son was also on medicine.... for the reflux. Will he sleep in the swing? Does he like that better than the bouncer??? Maybe you could try that... then when he falls asleep, turn off the swinging part... if that doesnt make him wake up.

Dev,
My gril had horrible reflux for the first 15 months of her life. We had to feed 2 oz every 2 hrs. each feeding was proceeded by Bethanecol to clear her stomach. What our Pedi had us do was put her in her swing adjusted to where it tilted back just a bit (like the bouncy seat position). She slept like this for about 3 months. We then put her in the bouncy seat in her crib. Sorry you are having to deal with this.
You're doing everything I recall we did for Elijah. In addition, I had to totally eliminate dairy and soy from my diet--if he really is intolerant, just reducing it in your diet won't be enough. Yes, it could have been difficult because I ate diary at every meal and snack but he was SO much better that it made it easy to do. By six months or so he was off the meds and had not more acid reflux. By seven months or so, I was able to add dairy and soy back gradually.
