EDIT--BD'ing positions! Need some help

So I have read on many websites to increase the chance of getting pregnant the man should be on top, or a rear entry position.  My hubby is 6'2 and very large.  I am 5'3 and, well, "average."  The only way we have ever been able to have sex "to the end" is if I am on top (sorry for the TMI!)  Afterwards I lay down with my legs up for about 15 minutes.  Do you think that me being on top is *really* hurting our chances of conceiving?  All opinions, and "i got pregnant 15 times and I was on top" stories are appreciated!

PS.  we got our pre-seed today and we loved it, hope it helps the baby making!

Ok I LOVE you ladies! hahaha thanks for answering all my semi-perverted questions with such candor!  You all had some great suggestions that I'm going to propose to DH tonight LOL! 

I hear ya - my DH is about 6 ft and 385. I am 5'8 and about 230 (was 205 when I got preggo). Ususally it is all me on top too - ( I GET SO FREAKING BORED - but that is for another day!) I got preggo with me on top and with him on top. I really suggest him on top - just gotta suck it up and make it work. Ok sorry if TMI - but pull your legs back as far as possible - then he will be a little deeper. (I feel like a perv right now! LOL! Anything to help a first time TTCer!! LOL!) don't climax until after he does (even if you have to make him leave the room and help yourself) and than lay on your back with your hips elevated for at least 30 minutes. The combo worked for me!!! I have the proof - DH is changing her diaper right now! :)

well i got preggos being on top!!!!!  but i think you should do whatever works for you! my own personal thought is the stuff is gonna get to the right place when its time. and that thought worked for me i didnt stress i didnt do anything special or weird to make it happen i just got on top did my  thing and 9 moths later juliana was here!!!!
i also got preggos on bottom with my son so . . .i think you should do whats right for you guys and it will happen!!!! 

It's true, you have a better chance if he's on top or "doggy style" ;) You should put a pillow under your butt and keep your legs up afterwards for about 15 mins. It's worked everytime for me. Also, morning are a really good time.

I think that when you have WLS "TMI" becomes a thing of the past! lol

Hubby is a big guy for me too - and him on top isn't comfy or real pleasurable... but we do it anyway! lol I put a pillow under my hips during the act and it makes it better for us both. I am pretty sure the last time I conceived I was on top and it was just one of those "passionate" nights not a TTC night per-say.

If TMI doesn't become a thing of the past from having WLS, just wait until you have kids ;)

I was able to concieve my first kiddo with hubby on top... but then, I think I was a fertile mertile back then, so I'm not sure position mattered to tell you the truth.

Fast forward to today and it's a whole different matter.  We're trying anything/everything to concieve now including.... interesting positions.   So, if nothing else, have some fun with it!!  :)

BTW, I'm 5, 1 and totally understand your challenges there.  I once had a boyfriend who was 6'7"; now, THAT was entertaining :)

I'm not going to lie just to appease you - but I did get pregnant being on top. Andy is a big guy (not really a fat guy, but he's got very much a football players body (minus the six pack - he lost that a few years ago - haha!) But before my surgery we were never able to have sex in different positions, it was ALWAYS "doggy-style" - which got soooo boring. But we did it unprotected for 4 1/2 years and I never got pregnant. Anyways - after my surgery and after losing 100lbs in 5 months *woot woot* we started experimenting more and more. The third time that I was ontop (and the first time that the condom busted) was enough to do the deed. Penetration is deeper when you're on top - I've never heard that a certain way was better for getting pregnant or what not (but at the same time, I was never TTC, so it wasn't info I was looking into either.)

Good luck though. I just know you're going to get that BFP soooooooon! And even if it comes later than wanted - at least you're having lots of fun trying :-D

I know I said this last month, but I have a really good feeling about this month, or maybe that's just wishful thinking!  Shauna I wait each day to come on and see if Drew is here yet!  I cant wait to see pics of the little guy!
