I know you ladies will help me out so
I am looking for an unique easy desert recipe that dosen't take too much time. I am going to a picnic tommorow and would like to bring something good.

I was thinking possible yogurt parfaits...any recipe suggestions?

Thanks

Make graham cracker crust in a 9x13 pan, spread Cool Whip over that, then spread a can of blueberry pie filling over the Cool Whip.  Super fast and easy!

Liz has alot of great recipies that are WLS friendly. Hopefully she will see this post and help you out. I am terrible at baking. I never take desserts anywhere. I'd rather make a main dish or side dish! LOL

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

I am horrible at baking as well hence the reason I suggested yogurt parfaits. LOL I HATE cooking as well, and I did volunteer to bring a desert, I don't want to settle for a box of store bought cookies either..LOL so I will try.

None of my desserts are WLS friendly.  I don't screw with the good stuff.  LOL

However, make a trifle.  You can make that WLS friendly very easily.   Throw some angel food cake or whatever cake you want as the bottom layer, layer with fresh fruits of your choice, use a sugar free pudding or make a filling using  marscapone cheese, a little vanilla, and sugar, and just keep layering.  Top layer should be whip cream.  Done, easy.

I made this and although it is a pretzel salad - it is more like a desert. Everyone loved it!
