Update on myself & Triplets
Ok Ladies this will be a long one.....
So I am currently 29 weeks along with my triplet pregnancy. Up until This time last week this pregnancy has been pretty uneventful...THANKFULLY! So, no hypertension, no gestational diabetes, no protein in urine, no morning sickness, no round ligament pain, etc. Had an OB appointment on the 7/3 and my OB did the fetal fibronectin test which that too came back negative!
Moving on to Tuesday 7/7.....woke up to my PJ's being wet. Not saturated but wet. Called the OB and he had me come in. Did 3 tests in the office to see if I was leaking or if in fact my water bag broke. Thankfully I was neither. He put me on the monitor just to make sure I wasn't contracting. 15 minutes after being on the machine there were no signs of contractions. He decided to adjust the monitor a little and said give me 10 more minutes on here and then you can leave. Well, 10 minutes later he came back in and say OH....you are going to L&D you are contracting every 2 minutes. LOVELY!!!
Went to L&D they administered IV and terbutaline to stop the contractions and 8 hours later he let me come home with STRICT orders that if anything changes to go right back to L&D. Wednesday I was fine and then Thursday I woke up with the most horrific left sided kidney pain. Called the office and then straight to L&D. They decided to send me for a renal ultrasound to make sure it wasn't a kidney stone and low and behold when the transport people came to bring me to ultrasound I started the 2 min apart contractions again. SO Dr cancelled the ultrasound and started the mag sulfate to stop the contracts and also started the steroid to mature the babies lungs just in case! He admitted me to hospital and I was there until Saturday afternoon. Had a ultrasound to check the cervix which was closed and measuring 3.7 which is WONDERFUL! Babies looked great!
My OB discharged me Saturday and I had a follow up maternal fetal ultrasound yesterday to again check the cervix and get a growth on the babies. Cervix seemed to have shortened a little since Friday but the babies are weighing in at...... 3 lb 3 oz 2 lb 10 oz and 2 lb 6 oz. I CAN"T BELIEVE IT!!!!! I have another OB appt Monday and we will go over everything again....Hopefully last week will be the only eventfully week I will have during this pregnancy. Oh and I am finally on modified bedrest. Not to shabby....29 weeks and bedrest right?
Anywho....other than that my only complaint is the size of my cankles.........Good Lord I didn't know skin could stretch that far. I can't wait to have my piggies back to normal. Its embarrassing to have to get a pedicure like this. Oh well!!!
If you have gotten this far....thanks for reading. Hope everyone is doing well and tons of baby dust to those who need it!!!

Hi Carroll,
I was just thinking about you this week and I'm glad that you are doing well (other than elephant cankles, which I had with only a single pregnancy). What a scare to be contracting so early in the pregnancy. I can only imagine the emotional roller coaster you're on and the praying and chicken swinging you do every day to get to "full-term" for these triplets. I'm praying right along with you, but based on the size of the little ones, I'm guessing they are strong fighters already!
Thankfully, ankles don't get stretch marks and shoes WILL fit again LOL
Hang in there and keep us posted.
Hugs,

I have been waiting for your update. I'm glad to hear that you have had a wonderful pregnancy thus far! I say live up the bed rest and enjoy being waited on hand and food while you can get it. ; )
Keep up the good work momma.
And to the babies.......stop scaring your mom and stay put for a little while longer.

I hope this was the only eventful week of your pregnancy and the rest of it goes smoothly. Follow the dr's orders on the bedrest and tell those little ones to stay still for a few more weeks. It's good they did the steroids now to mature their lungs...now hopefully they'll fatten up a bit more.

Keep lotioning those cankles woman...goodness. The babies seem to be weighing in well. I hope that's the last crazy "event" you have. Keep baking those babies!!! Oh, and modified bedrest doesn't mean you can still clean the whole house AND go grocery shopping in the same day---hehe. DH reminded me of that everyday I was pregnant with Nikolas.
