Can we take prenatals that are like in a gel cap? I got some natures made ones but i was just wondering if they will absorb with my new pouch?? Anyone take these?

Hi Erika,

I have the Nature's Made with DHA from Costco. They are a Gel Cap and work for me. I have had no problems. I have the band though, don't know if that makes a big difference.

Take care,

Sarah

Andrea would probably know more about this. I took super high doses of vitamin D in a gel form to bring up my levels and really found out that the oil based stuff doesn't absorb well in most after wls. I am now taking high doses of the vitamin d in the dry form to help that issue. I take nature made dry prenatals from costco. I think the most important thing is to monitor your levels closesly and make adjustments if needed before they get too low. Because of my monitoring I now supplement my prenatals with iron and b-12 as well as D. The key is keeping on top of things. Good luck. Shari
