OK ladies-- Question about BD'ing and a Rant

First of all let me just say I need to officially boycott facebook because EVERY one of my friends from high school and college are pregnant right now and it is making me crazy!  Especially since MOST of them were not/are not married and it happened by accident which drives me even more crazy!

Anyway, enough of that rant.  I am due to Ovulate on Monday the 27.  Last month we BD'ed the Friday before, and then Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to no avail.  I wonder if this is too much BD'ing.  I have heard to have sex every other day during that time, but I figured the more we tried the more chances.  What does everyone think?  My hubby is overweight, I do not know if this has anything to do with his fertility.  Also I am officially off caffeine since last Wednesday.  I guess only time will tell but you all can relate, I hate this waiting game, and hate seeing all these "opps" pregnancies by unmarried/uncommitted people. AHH!

We were on the every other day BD plan. My hubby os a big guy and well I have to stay up late to wait for him to get home from work so logistically it worked for us. Actually the month that I got pregnant we just "got lucky" (no pun intended! lol) and only BD once! The ladies here I believe it was reccomended to me every other day from CD 10 (approx****il 2 days after you think you ovulated. We usually stated BD around CD 12 everyother day. I was a pretty regular ovulator between CD14 and CD 16

Happy BD and lots of baby dust!!!

Karen -

I can't even imagine what you and the other women who are TTCing have to go through. Not gonna lie - I'm one of those unmarried (but VERY committed) women who got pregnant unplanned (I would never use the word, accidently.) And I don't have any info for you since I never had to TTC - but I wanted to let you know that I will keep you and hubby in my thoughts and prayers and hope that you get your little miracle sooner rather than later.

It will all come in time. (I know easier said than anything.)

LOTS OF BABY DUST FOR YOU!!

LOL thanks Shauna.  I specipfically thought of you when I added the "uncommited" portion of that post so you know that the frustration was NOT directed at you, but rather the little girls on my FB that I knew in high school, now they are like 19 and getting pregnant, ARG it makes me soo mad!  I can't wait to see the pics of your lil Drew very soon!!!

LoL thanks for thinking of me. I would never take it as your frustration was directed at me. I'm just one of those people who have witnessed a LOT of divorces and I have the mentality of "if it's not broke, don't fix it." While I would love to be married - I'm perfectly happy and comfortable with the way we are. Andy and I have been together for almost 6 years - we argue and make up like an old married couple. Haha! But I totally understand what you're saying.

I don't know why but I always forget that you're younger than I am - I'm constantly thinking you're the same age - totally random, I know!

Shauna,

I just had to jump in here and let you know that I think you are a VERY SMART girl!! Coming from a lady who's been married twice now and divorcing for the 2nd time currently, you are right... I'm now in a committed relationship and agree with you on the whole idea of being committed and it's not necessary to be married to show that... I commend you sweetie!!

I only wish I'd learned that lesson the 1st time & hadn't taken that 2nd ride on the marriage boat... lol

You're getting so close to your little mans arrival and can't wait to see pics & hear your story... Take care and I hope the rest of the time before Baby Drew's birth goes smoothly...

Thanks Chelle. After seeing my mother get married to a man she was with for 6 years and then watch her get divorced after 4 months when he turned into a completely different person - I've decided that if marriage comes, it comes - if not, I'm completely okay with that too.

Thanks for the well wishes on Drew's birth as well - I hope it goes smoothly too! Not to mention fast and painless - haha!

I'm of the "its not enough" crowd.

we bd'd for at least 10-14 days around ovulation times.  just in case when we were ttc.  worked 3 out of 4 times. (this one we weren't "trying")

WOW Mandy, 10-14 days!  My hubber would die! LOL.  We have actually started BD'ing last week regularly because I heard that if you just wait until OV time that the sperm are old and that might hinder conception.  Who would ever think that we would be schedualing sex LOL it's so funny.  We pretty much have to though b.c DH still works in PA and we live 1 1/2 hours away in Jersey so he gets home pretty late.
