I had my first sonogram one day and my first appointment with a midwife the next day.

The sono was great!

The baby was moving around and I got to see the heart fluttering. The only thing that made me think was  that they sent me for a blood test right after the sono and (among other things) the paper work for the blood test asked if it was a single baby and if not then how many fetus?

The tech filled it out by writing an note saying .. refer to eval (or something like that) ..

She filled out the rest of the paper, why wouldn't she specify how many fetus she saw? Is it possible that at one point there was more then 1?

The next day, at my appointment, I forgot to ask about that.

How precious, I'm not sure about the whole multiples thing and not showing up on the sono.  I know that before I lost a twin with my last pregnancy that my levels were high but both sacs showed up on the ultrasound.  Good luck

What a cute baby!  I'm sure if there was more than one baby it would have been mentioned at your appointment.   I would probably call the doctors office and explain to them what you saw on the paper.   Has your blood work came back yet?

The thing is that I only got to see a midwife who had a whole bunch of info about what to do and not to do while pregnant and all she said about the tests was ..everything looks ok.. but she talked so much i heardly got a chance to ask anything.

And, that was my last appointment at that hospital. I'm about to move to Texas. I did ask for my OB records so I can take them with me when I move so i'll have to look at them myself and see what I can find.
