crib recall

OK I admit I am horrible about  keeping up with all the recalls. ....but am thankful they are posted(thanks Andrea)
I did notice my daughters crib is recalled~ jardine model BC36-P anyway anyone had this issue? they want to have some parts removed.,.sent to them and then they send a voucher for a new crib???what????

my sons crib is a loaner from a friend..its older.. How do i see if it is recalled as well? ~ Basset #5267-1512

I have to do what in the meantime? Where does Grace sleep if I have to take it apart and send parts back.. this is crazy.

what kind of crib do they allow you to buy??sigh.. any info is appreciated.

i have the rainforest playpen... they also said it was recalled due to that snappy things on the side rails collapse when weight is placed on it.... so i jumped on it..... it held me... so im sure it will hold jayson... they wanted me to cut out all the side panels and send them... then they would send me a check to get a new one?

We had one of the Jardine cribs that was recalled.  It happened before our new baby was born so we just sent in the parts and within a few days we recieved a check for some amount of money( cant remember how much it was!)  It wasn't really a check I guess, more of a voucher for Babies R Us and we were able to use it towards any crib that we wanted. 
The crib had worked fine for our first son and I was pretty sad that I couldn't use it again.  But figured I didn't want our baby to be the one in several thousand that had a accident.  It has to happen to someones baby for it to be recalled. 
I didn't think about the parents that needed the crib until you could get a new one, that's a pain.

It would have been, but we bought one that was alittle bit more expensive.  Tha lady was super nice though and gave us a great coupon to use with the voucher so we didnt have to spend much more.

ok cool ....so u can pick whatever you want...not just that old brand that was recalled? do u remember how much they gave? I better go on line and select something:-) thanks

I want to say that it was $200 or 250????  But I cant rememer for sure.  We stayed far away from that Jardine brand, they have had tons of recalls it seems.
