Thanks to everyone *****sponded to my tummy time post last week.  My little Moose is becoming addicted to his pacifier.

Angie warned me not to Cooper's pacifier a "suckie" because I don't want him screaming about his "suckie" in the grocery store.

Although my ultimate goal is for him not to use it after 9 months or so (after SIDs risk is less) there IS a possibility it won't be that easy.

So what do you call it ?

Suckie?  (We called it suckie growing up)
Nukie  (does that sound better than "suckie"?)
Binky?

I am open to all suggestions....

That Limp Bizkit song "I did it all for the nukie, the nukie ..." is now in my head. LOL!!

We just called it a "paci" for Brantley.

Good Luck,

Such cute picture!  LOVE the moose ears!!!
We call it a paci also!  When Aethyn was first born we couldn't get him to really take his paci, but at about 6 months he found one he likes...he is 9 1/2 months...and he can't live without it!  I didn't want him to need it still...but he does and I am willing to let him yet.  I will try to break him of it around a year.

We called it a bink or binky.   Sadie was sooo addicted to it as well when she was small.   When she was about 7 months old we started only giving it to her at naptime and bedtime then as she started throwing it out of the crib we just quit picking it up and she never had a problem with it.  My older 2 kids were a bit harder to get off it but we did the same thing and it worked.   They weren't running to preschool with a binky LOL.

He's adoreable!

My now almost 7 yr old was addicted to hers.  We called it her Pappy.  To begin with, she was picky...only Avent pappys would do.  Then she didnt care as long as she could 'plug' her mouth lol.  She was off her bottle by 14 months with no problems...but totally addicted to pappy.  We finally got her off the pappy for good around  27 months old.  We told her the Pappy monster would come take her pappy & leave her a present.  Well, we tried to get rid of all the pappies before he came but after he came the 1st time...she found one she had hidden so pappy monster came a 2nd time.  Each time he brought her a pack of m&ms & a small gift.  Before we started taking them away we did get her limited to naps & nite time only...then nite time only.  & just to be clear the pappy monste was more like a 'sesame street 'monster...not a scary thing lol.
