Wow I am sorry you are experiencing this, it blows my mind that your doctor could not accomodate you sooner especially when you are going through that. I don't have experience with the lapband. But I have a friend who has the lapband and she got unfilled through her pregnancy. She felt restriction and didn't even gain much thoughout her pregnancy.
I wish you the very best and I hoe you get to feel better soon.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Take it for what it is but here is what I did. I had horrible morning sickness which of course aggravated my band to all hell. I ended up getting an agressive unfill. Essentially its empty. The upside is that you are not suffering during pregnancy and won't need to go back later for an unfill to accomodate your growing tummy. The bad news is that you have to be very careful how you eat because you get HUNGRY!! I am struggling with the gain right now. I am 26 weeks along and have already gained 23 pounds. My doc only wants me to gain 25 so I have to really be strict for the last part of this. I am not sure how that's all going to work out but I am doing my very best.
It's hard but I would say go for the unfill. Too tight is miserable without being pregnant and now is not the time to be miserable with things you have control over!
Congrats!
PS - ask your surgeon their opinion. They are likely to have good input on your particular situation and I would definitely go with that.

It depends how much you have in there! Personally, I did very well keeping mine loose, but not totally empty. Do you remember what your restriction was like after your first fill? Do you think you could go back to that level and be able to eat OK?

You have to be able to eat more than liquids and mushies - that's not acceptable even when you are not pregnant. Now that you are pregnant, the baby is first. DEMAND an appointment immediately - there are exceptions to every rule. Even if he is heavily booked, he can see you inbetween one of his patients - and there are cancellations. A couple of weeks is too long. Do you want to risk slipping your band - it can happen and does from vomiting. You also can stretch you esphogas etc.
Don't mean to be harsh, but this is not something to be passive about. You are growing an innocent life in you.
