Hey Ladies,

I'm back!!  Thanks to Liz for doing the posts while I was gone.  You did a great job!!!

So, I work tonight and the fridge is more in need of a cleanout than the freezer today.  Jer got 2 cases of Fat Tire beer when we picked up Ethan in St. Louis and I need to clear a shelf.  Leftovers gotta go... so he is making spaghetti tonight with the leftover sauce.  He'll probaby need to add a jar of sauce (it's not my homemade sauce... soon I will make a huge batch of it and freezer for easy consumption... once the freezer has room again).  I also used up some leftover grilled chicken and made some simple chicken salad, with onion, celery, salt, pepper and mayo.  I love my kitchenaid chopper to get all the veggies chopped fine.

Fridge:
Leftover spaghetti sauce w/ ground meat and sweet italian turkey sausage
Ceasar Salad Lite Kit (adding cucumber and tomatoes)

This is your morning reminder to take out what you need for your meals.

WElcome back! No problem - happy to help!

I think that I am going to experiment with some trout on the grill tonight...

FREEZER:
fresh, whole trout (without the head thank god! lol)

Pantry:
spices
olive oil

Fresh:
garlic
onion
cucumber
Sour cream

I'm thinking maybe cucumbers and sour cream along with the trout. Chris won't eat any of this so he'll have a frozen pizza or ham sandwich.

Anyone have any trout grilling recipes / suggestions? I usually pan fry it coated in a bit of flour and sauteed in olive oil, which I might do if the thunder storm**** early tonight...

Sorry, I don't eat fish or seafood so I don't cook it very much.  Jer usually makes the fish type dishes in the house.  Hope you find one.

Haha - I love that it sounds like you're having this yummy good for you dinner and then you're like "Chris will have a frozen pizza or ham sandwich" - I dunno why but it just sounded funny to me. I needed that today! Thanks Liz.

lol sure thing! Well he works 2nd shift so he gets home around 10pm - and he won't touch trout... so it's not like I am tormenting him with good food or eating in front of him! It does sound funny though

Yeah I guess that puts a different spin on things.
My SO is like a meat and potatoes only guy - that's how he was raised (not to mention the meat has to be as tough as a leather boot!!) But there are nights when he's like "your food looks soooooo good" as he's eating his frozen burritos - yet he won't try things. He hates it when I get chinese because he says it smells and looks good - but won't try it. He had his first taste of chinese food at 29 and to this day it's the only thing he'll eat - Sweet and Sour Chicken (without the sweet n sour sauce) and white rice. He dips the chicken in Frank's Red Hot - so basically, he's eating boneless chicken wings and white rice - haha!

lol Chris is the same way! HIs mom made the classics and that's about it - luckily he'll try things most of the time, generally he doesn't like them - but he'll taste them! lol
