OMG who would have thought I would be GLAD that I got dumping syndrome back! I had not been having any issues with sugar my whole pregnancy but holy cow I am now getting sick as a DOG after eating certain foods! I am getting the shakes, feeling super nauseous, headache, need to lay down feeling and then of course the dumping! Sometimes I don't dump just get soooo sick!

OK so did this happen to anyone else???

Beth,
I have the band, so I don't dump, but around 34 weeks I started getting sick again.   I had a few weeks in my second trimester where I wasn't nauseous and puking.   For me it stayed until after Hannah was born.  Actually, I came home from the hospital still throwing up because of the iron pills I was taking.
Is it just when you eat sugar?
I hope it doesn't last long!

thanks Amy,
sadly I need it to last to keep me away from sugar and it does because I hate to be sick that dumping feeling is awful! I have not been throwing up knock on wood just the other end sometimes but mostly a very very sick feeling!!

Oh and  yes it is just sugar for now!

Hey Shannon,
No really I need it to stay it helps me stay away from sugar! I don't want it to be a bad thing it's just giving me that kick in the pants to stay away from sugar like I should already be doing!!

Hope you are doing well!!
Hugs back at ya!

Did they do an A1C on you for gestational diabetes. You may not have had it at 27 weeks, but now is showing up. Ask if you can monitor for a couple of weeks.

Other than that....Step away from the sugar pregnant lady!!! hehe.
Also, make sure if you are going to indulge that you eat at least ten g of protein about 15-30 minutes before hand.

Please take care Beth.

You are right I just NEED to stay away from sugar! Which I should be doing anyway!  I did not tell the OB this was happening as it just started since I was there last and he was already all over me about staying away from carbs and sugar already due to weight gain SOOOO it is no sugar for me and I will just have to get used to it and I can and will!

thanks Angie!! I will be good I promise don't want to do anything wrong now since things have been soooo good and I am in the home stretch!!

This has been happening to me this week also.  I never experienced dumping pre-preggo days.  Also, I did not push my boundaries.  I only get sick on certain foods.  It is crazy.  I hope this will curb my sweet tooth and help in the long run.  I use to say that I never wanted to know if I could eat another candy bar, today was a good sick feeling when the butterfinger made me nausated.

Good Luck with the no sugar...........now if I could kick the carbs..........

I have to be very careful because I don't know what is going to do cause it these days, I too wish carbs would make me sick too that would be awesome! I am working hard on the carbs it is harder than the sugar!

Best of luck!!
