Hi! It's been a long time since I have been on here but I was given alot of support through the first half of my pregnancy and need some more! I delivered a beautiful baby boy on 7/6/09. I had RNY Jan 08 and got preg 10 mos post op. I only gained 15lbs with my pregnancy and in the last week and half I've lost that plus a couple more lbs. is this normal?? anyone who can relate I would appreciate it!

I gained 2 lbs while pregnant and lost 32lbs by 4 week post pardum.  I was almost 2 years out when my son was born.  I haven't lost anymore weight since I'm hovering at 150.

I lost 53 lbs when I was pregnant with Niko, gained 22 back in the last month, and lost it within three weeks. My shape was still messed up though for a couple of months---Hell, it still is. make sure you're getting enough calories.

I had the same kind of situation.  I had surgery in March 2007 and found out I was preggo September of 2007.  I was down 124lbs.  I went through the pregnancy with 24 lb weight gain and after the baby within weeks was below the weight I was when I got preggo.  I lost more than 30 lbs after the baby too.  Most of my weight gain is at the end and is water retention, that goes away quickly.  Also you may have lost weight while you were pregnant but the baby evened it out.  Another thing is breastfeeding is an incredible way to lose weight.  You are normal, remember what is normal for you may not be what happens to anyone else.
