Super Uncomfortable
So I know I'm probably just anxious and these are probably normal symptoms of being 37 weeks pregnant but today has been completely different - so I need some opinions.
As stated, I'm 37 weeks, this is my first pregnancy (which they say you tend to deliver closer to 40 weeks than if it was your second, third, etc.) and my LO has been running about 2 weeks early since about 6 months.
Today I woke up and felt him lightening. I came to work and everyone was commenting about how much I have dropped, even since last week. About an hour or so into work, I felt extreme pressure, so I got up and walked to the bathroom. It hurt like heck to walk. TMI (I know) but my groin felt as though I had just had two hours of rough intercourse. I went to the bathroom but it didn't relieve any of the pressure. I keep getting these pains right below my butt in the back of my leg. I'm having mild cramps. But no contractions.
Like I said, I'm probably just anxious and I'll be the first to admit that I want this little monkey out of me yesterday - but is this normal for 37 weeks? Or does it sound like I may be going early? Just need some opinions - that's all.

That sounds like me with Emma at 37 weeks. I ended up with a broken water at 38w2d. It can't hurt to be checked and watch for fluids too. Mine was a slow leak for a couple of days and I just thought it was a bladder control problem. Also, I know you want the babe out now...lol but Emma was just 12 days early and was in nicu for 4 days because she had a hard time sucking and and infection. Let that babe bake as long as it can okay....take it easy. Good luck. Either way it wont be long now. Shari
Good Morning!
I'm 39 weeks and three days, and you're feeling exactly what I am. I'm glad you posted though, I think I might try to get into my OB today to be checked ... I haven't been checked yet. I wish that this was a clear sign you (or I) were starting labor, but from my research, it sounds like this could go on a while. Good luck!
Shauna,
I'm a bit late on posting, so I'm sure you've already gotten some great advice. The groin pain/pressure was worse for me after I had been sitting for awhile. Those last few weeks of PG are absolutely miserable. I know that for many, pregnancy is a rosey, glowing time in life and that's great. But for me, this last pregnancy was just really, really hard and the last month in particular seemed to last forever. It might sound like lip service, but really try to keep your mind busy and know that once you're on the other side of it all, these moments will be just a blip in time.
You're almost there girl! One look at Drew and you'll feel that every second of discomfort was NOTHING compared to how much you can love that little baby.
Hugs,
