I posted last week that I was diagnosed with really low iron.  Well, guess what?  I flippin' started my period again after only 18 days and am bleeding heavily.

This weekend I was having the following symptoms:  I was extremely angry, fatigued, weak muscles, heart palpitations, headache, heart pain, dizziness, depressed.. I would lay in bed at night and I couldn't sleep because I was berating myself constantly.  It was horrible...My poor family!

Anyways, I looked it up online and all of these are symptoms of low iron!! I had no idea.  I don't know if my doctor can do anything but I am seeing him today at 3:00.

Thanks for still letting me post and caring!!!

Anemia can cause alot of symptoms as well as other issues. Make sure you and your doctor come up with a good and effective way to get your labs back to normal.

Some people do great with different types of iron pills. Some people need infusions.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

I will do whatever it takes to get better.  Don't want to feel like this anymore.

WOW I have a lot of those symptoms too! My labs should be back to the OB today and I am sure that she'll call me tonight. My ferratin as 14 (what it has been the last few times) but they lost the blood for the CBC so I had to have it re-done.

Keep us posted as to how you make out!

Liz

Liz - I will definitely keep you updated.  I hope you don't have low iron.  This sucks!

Since my MC in May - there have been about 20 days that I haven't bled.  (2 days before I started my period in June and 18 days since my last period.)

My arms must weigh 100 pounds each!

Are you craving or chewing ice yet? I do that horribly when I'm anemic.

Infusions suck, but get them if you have to...and remember---get  ALOT of vitamin C. It help the iron absorb.

That's what made me get blood tests in the first place.  I wanted to eat ice and wanted to smell dirt, chemicals and gas.

Hopefully, we come up with something today.  Thanks again!

I don't think infusions are terrible. I get them ALOT.

It all depends on which type of iron you are given. Sometimes I do the ones that only take about 45 minutes per week but its for 2-3 months. Sometimes I get the kind that take most of the day but only need to do it a few times.

But I have other blood issues, besides anemia, so I am not sure what type they prescribe for stricly anemia issues.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Infusions make me sick as a dog, but it goes away after a day. Then again, I swear my brian's puke botton is switched to the "on" position at all times(even when I'm not pregnant).
