Let's see -

For the 1st one I forgot baby socks and my husband had to bring those from home.

For the 2nd I forgot a receiving blanket (It's cold in the hospital even if it's warm outside) and baby nail clippers.  His nails were so long that I had to cut them at the hospital because he scratched himself.

Good luck and it'll be great!

Ooh!  The nail clippers!  I wished we had brought those last time!  Kellen was so over-cooked that his nails were so long I kept asking everyone I knew if they had any - he scratched himself UGLY.

Binky if you think you'll use one
stuff for breastfeeding if you'll do that
baby wipes - for yourself if you don't feel like getting up to take a shower
list of phone numbers

That's all the extra stuff I could think of.

Your own pillow

Your own nightgown for the first day (they'll be checking your bleeding a lot)

Lounge pants and t -shirt type outfit for later, so you don't feel like you're in pajamas all the time

Lip balm and other toiletries

Any medications/vitamins you take

A long sleeved and footed front opening onesie for baby, loose. The want them in long sleeves and pants to keep them warm but I found the little shirts and pants they used to be really hard to operate and pull over his head!

Snacks for your husband

The things that I can remember wishing I had were for Hannah.   All the outfits I packed for her had lots of snaps or just difficult in general to get on and off.  I had a c-section, so my hubby did quite a bit of the diaper changes in the hospital (getting in and out of bed is hard the first couple of days). Hubby got really frustrated trying to figure out how to get the snaps straight on the sleepers (it can be tricky!) I really wished I would have packed some of the long sleeve gowns with the drawstrings at the bottom.  Those are great for middle of the night diaper changes.  I also thought the hospital would have baby lotion. Hannah's skin was so dry.  All they had that I could use on her was Vaseline.
I can't believe you are already so close!
