It's been a bad week....
It started with whole MMR thing with Zoe and then on Wed I got my first letter from State Disability and it said they are going to give me $64 a week. I guess depending on when you file the claim it goes off of 4 previous quarters of your employment to determine how much they will give you. 3 of the 4 quarters they went off of....I was unemployed, I had just had Zoe. So I called and they told me I can request to have them look at some other quarters of employment and of course you can't do that by phone to speed up the process, it has to be in writing by mail....AAHHHHHHH! So in the mean time I'm very scared we might just lose everything and have to move in with family again. We just got caught up on all our bills and started making a home for ourselves in this new apartment. I have been crying my eyes out all week about it and contracting because of all the stress. All I can do now is pray about it and hope that some how it all works it self out, and try not to stress so my Niklas cooks another 6 weeks.
On a Happy note.....
My Baby Shower is today and I'm really excited to see my friends and family.

Hey girl -
I was written out on CA SDI at the same point in my pregnancy for preterm. SDI sent me a check and notice saying that they were basing my benefit amout off of what I made last year - the problem? They were 18K less that what I made last year!!!! So I had to go through the whole send in a letter thing too. I faxed mine along with a copy of my W2 from last year to prove what I made and that the state taxboard (where they get their numbers) were smoking crack. I had to call 3 days later to SDI to make sure they got it, than waited about 2 weeks and they fixed it. Infact it was $120 more a week than I thought it was going to be! So, they are quick. However I suggest you fax it instead of mailing it. If you need the fax number I can probably dig it up for you.
Hang in there!

No experience with this one, Brianna, but I just wanted to let you know that things often have a way of working themselves out despite the highest level of stress and anxiety on our part to control them. It is, of course, easy for me to say this because it's not ME in the middle of crisis right now
I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope that good news is just around the corner for you!
Hugs,
