sex - later in pregnancy

Anyone have problems? TMI I know but we had sex this morning then my belly and back ached all day long, I was very uncomfortable! Just wondering if this has happend to anyone else? Of course I mentioned it to hubby big mistake because he cut me off...WHAT? A man saying NO ??? Of course after this morning I will be rethinking the urges too, gotta stay cooking for 5 1/2 more weeks until c-section day!

We actually {ok I actually! haha} asked the Doctor what the philosophy was about having sex this far into the pregnacy.....i was actually i think 34 weeks as well....they sed that up till the water breaks its completely fine....so we had sex....and the only uncomfortable situation was i couldnt put my legs up that far because i couldnt breathe....which therefore kinda ruined sex cuz it became a laughing matter now b/c nuthing was comfortable with the watermelon in the front of me..... :) sooooo as for ur PAINS im not sure what that wus attributed too.....but i didnt have "pain" pursay....it was just uncomfortable.....now being 39weeks we are afraid that the water will break if we do anything of the sort.....so we havent tried since....lol kinda feeling fat an gross anyways so its an ok situation for me! :) haha not sure if that HELPED u any but....

You are crazy girl!!! LOL! Than again I have NO sex drive when preggo! My Doc told me to do the deed when I was 36 weeks if I wanted to start things up - I did and it SUCKED! The worst ever! LOL! I think we did it like 5 times in the last 2 weeks - DH says I should have gotten and oscar for my acting!! LOL! No problems though - I didn't even bleed afterward.

I wish Hubby would cut me off, sex is the last thing I want!! I'm so uncomfortable without having sex and than we have sex and just like you I ache all night and day after. I give into hubby once a week just because he is so hard to live with if I don't. He knows it's hard for me so he is very patient and we are constantly doing dif positions till it works for both of us but OMG, I don't want it!!! I wish I could get a doctors note for no sex...lol.  Anyway's back to your question...yes, after sex I kinda feel like I wa**** by a train my back kills me, my belly a little buy mostly my back.

Didn't they put you on bedrest/pelvic rest for preterm - you can get a note! LOL! That is why my Doc did - she actually wrote the note out  to say no hanky panky just to mess with my hubby! LOL!

My husband and I didn't have intercourse after month 6 UNTIL month 9 when I wanted to go into labor.

(TMI ALERT -- I had an ****** just about every day during pregnancy, but not intercourse.  My sex drive was in over-drive while pregnant!) 

When we had intercourse in month 9+ it was uncomfortable.....   although I did not bleed or go into labor. 

I think in my case my back hurt afterwards because I had a slight muscle pull.... 

Everyone told me (when Cooper was overdue) to have sex....it supposedly works in two ways -- the contractions of the uterus during ****** and the sperm softening the cervix. 

As noted above I had no shortage of ******s during pregnancy -- so I don't believe the ******s do anything to start labor.  In my case the sperm did nothing as, despite having sex, I was only 1cm dialated at 6 days past my due date! 

I think maybe what makes some women go into labor after sex is the activity level they aren't used to?  (The same theory behind walking and walking and walking to go into labor.)

Who knows?   In your case since you are aching maybe you'd better find a different outlet for your urges.... LOL.

I have no sexual drive what so ever. When I do have it - I'm very uncomfortable for days after. SO thinks I'm just holding out on him - so if anyones doctor wants to write me a no hanky panky note - PM me I'll give you my address - haha :-)

I'm not a Dr but a designer - we can forge whatever you need from teh DR!! lol I DID get a no sex note from teh Dr after the D&E... didn't work though! HA!

I was a horny toad my ENTIRE pregnancy. I couldn't get enough. It does get harder as the belly gets bigger.

All I can say is that it's all about positioning and having a great sense of humor........cause it's bound to funny to try and work around the belly. But what's better than being able to be intimate and have a few laughs with each other too!?!

I will say too that I have wanted it more than ever during this pregnancy, oh since you mentioned this last time I did have a little laughing episode I was like a little kidin church and could not stop laughing! And it's not the positioning or anything during, it was achiness afterwards and the whole day!
