Ok so here it goes....I had my surgery in Novemeber and have reached my goal weight and talking about getting pregnant.  I have moved to a new state and in search of a new dr.

So just trying to find out when others have started trying to get pregnant.

Could anyone or everyone please give me some advice!

Thanks Michelle

This is my opinion.........Just because you have reached goal weight, doesn't mean you should try already. Most docs recommend 12 months at least, some recommend longer.

After the rapid weight loss, your vitamin levels, iron, etc, should be checked because often times those numbers are off. You should definately get labs done and speak with doc about your health and when is best to begin trying.

Once you know you are at your best health, you can concentrate on trying.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

I had surgery 10/07.  I did not TT****il I was 18 months out as the doctor had instructed.  I would def. talk to your Doctor and get their advice.  I was 18 months out in April and found out I was pregnant April 30th! What a great way to end April!  I reached my goal weight long before that but waited due to mal-absorbtion problems and to make sure that I could feed/carry the baby healthy.  Just ask your doc first.

Good Luck!
