So I know this is way too early but I would like your opinions
My husband is so set on if we have a boy naming it after his grandfather. His grandparents raised him the first couple of years of his life and they are almost like parents to him. I hate the name but of course I love his grandfather. I told him we could do it as the middle name but he is putting his foot down and says it has to be the first name. What the heck do i do? I dont want to get in a huge argument about it, especially since we are newly pregnant, its just not worth it. But what happens if we do have a boy, then what?
So here is the name...Stanley.
When I think Stanely I think of a short chubby gross guy haha. I know thats wrong but that is just the image I get.
HELP!!
I have lost 112lbs since my surgery in November of 2007. Ready for a baby now.
Before praying too hard for a girl...what's the grandma's name?

You have plenty of time to think it all over. Good Luck to you!
I don't love the name, but I don't think it's terrible. It makes me think of the 40's and the movie Brighton Beach Memoirs. If you have never watched the movie, rent it. I bet you'll like the name more by the end of the movie.
Is the grandfather's last name the same as yours? Could it be used as a first name or even middle name? I don't think Stanley is terrible but it didn't make it on our name list either lol.
I would love to name this baby after my great grandparents, but they have horrible names!
She was Rosa Mae and Lester (not for sure on his middle name...I'll have to find out). The best I can do is use the middle name Rose, but I have a cousin with that middle name and I really don't want her to think I'm naming the baby after her. I guess I could use Mae as a middle name, but we live if hicktown, so that would be really country sounding.
Naming babies is a hard job!
Good luck!
