Lexa? I have party ideas for Jayson!
Cuz I'm crafty I tell ya :)
No.....it's a site I use for ideas when I bake cakes and cookies for parties and events. I wish I lived closer....I'd love to make this cake for Jayson! I bet if you copy, paste and print, take it too a bakery they would be glad to do this for you. I know it's done all the time where I live. I have people bring me pictures of cakes the want me to make.

I know I am not Ash...but this may help at the moment!
You can use fondant icing...you roll it out and lay it over...some people don't like the taste...so it is kind of a personal choice to use....otherwise if you use regular buttercream frosting you can boil some water and use a metal icing knife and smooth it, re dip the knife and keep going until it is all smooth. My mom used to make cakes a lot and people seem to prefer the taste of the butter cream vs fondant. A lot of people like the smooth look of fondant for wedding cakes, but my mom could get it just as smooth with ho****er and knife (and a little tine smoothing it out). The buttercream may be better for kids...as far as taste. Hope that helps at least a little.

It is fondant. Most fondant taste pretty blah! I however make my own fondant homemade and it tastes like buttercream! I use wooden dowel rods and or heavy plastic tubes to stack my cakes. They wont fall the way I stack them. I smooth my buttercream with a bench scraper and a viva brand paper towel or sometimes I use my fondant smoother over the paper towel. I never do a cake the same way twice. I do what works for that specific cake.
