No heartbeat?
I am 12 weeks and Dr tried to find the baby's heart rate so we could hear it at my appt today. She didn't seem concerned when she couldn't find it and said she must just be too small still. When were you first able to hear your baby's heartbeat? I am a bit peeved that she didn't send me to ultrasound, but I have seen my little one twice now.
even at 14 weeks with this one, the doc had a hard time finding the heartbeat with a doppler and actually refused to try to me until she thought I'd cry...becuase it can be iffy to hear it or not.

Your topic shouldn't be "no heartbeat" it should be "couldn't find HB" I was scared to death!!
The doctor had a hard time finding mine at 12wks. She said it is very difficult to find because the baby is sooo small and your uterus is large. I'm sure everything is fine. You've already seen your little one 2x now. Not all doctors are so quick to do an US. I know my doctor isn't. Like my mother always reminds me... "back in the day they didn't have US.. you had to trust in God" :)
I'm sorry they didn't do an ultrasound, but she is correct that it is still quite early. When is your next appointment? Even with my most recent PG and a lot of weight lost, the dr's and nurses STILL had a hard time finding the heartbeat until I was about 18 weeks along. Easier said than done, but try not to stress about it and just remember that TODAY you are pregnant.

My next appointment is 4 weeks away but as time passes today I am more at peace with this. She was quick to get me in for an U/S when I was only spotting so I know if she was concerned (even though she was pressed for time today) she would have gotten me in right away. I mean it's in thier office it wouldn't have been hard had she felt we needed it.
