Nathan Update and THANK YOU....
First of all, THANK YOU all so much for your thoughts and advice this morning....you all are amazing...I learn so much from you all...being a first time mommy I feel like such a hypochondriac so I try to research as much as possible before I go to doc and look like an idiot....THANK YOU again...
And thank GOD for Tricare (one of my loves of the navy)....I feel like I can go to doc and not break the bank :)
So, I went to pedi and he still had a fever....nothing in throat, ears fine, no teeth...just like Jayson doc said it was probably viral....so, like sooooooo many of you...he recommended alternating motrin and tylenol....he has been pretty lethargic and VERY clingy...and whiny today...I had to hold him a lot today...was interesting when I was doing conference calls for work...but he just wanted to be close to me.....
I will need to stay out of daycare until he gets his fever stable for 24 hours....it went down to normal tonight and before I laid him down it got up to 100 again..ugh...so likely I will stay home again tomorrow...my boss is great...I am working from home....so that is good......I just hope that he keeps getting better...I hate seeing him like this...ugh....
Anyway, THANK YOU again...I appreciate your support so much.....I cannot wait until Nate gets here (soon) so I do not have to do this alone....I so admire single mommy's .....
Loves,
Ann

Thank you so much sweet Miki.....I do hate seeing him be sick and not himself....he has been on breathing treatments since 3 months so I am use to that....this one scared me though...he felt so hot....and I have never seen him so clingy.....but I am believing he will be better soon :)
Thanks again!!!!
Thanks again!!!!
I am glad you took your little guy to the ped. I feel like a hypochondriac sometimes too, but I don't really care because they are my kids and I want to make sure they are OK. :o) I have taken Dylan to the doctor many times and it was nothing, but it always made me feel better.
I remember one time my hubby was on travel and Dylan was like 7 or 8 months old. He was hot to the touch in the evening and very clingy, so I took his temp. It was 99 something. Within 2 hours, it shot up to 103 and he was bright red, super hot to the touch and was barely moving. I took him to the ER right away and when we got there, his temp had went up even more. I was there with him for hours, while they ran labs and cultures to come to the conclusion that it was a virus. The nurses got his temp down before we left and I had to stop at CVS at 1am to buy more Motrin and Tylenol. I will never forget that.
Nathan will get better. :o) Until then, give him extra love and attention, like I am sure you are doing.
P/S- I miss TriCare. My hubby was in the Navy for 6 years and that was the best part!! Free medical. I had a c-section with Dylan in Virginia and it cost me $1.36. LOL! Cassidy's c-section is costing us around $1,500 ish, broken down into payments. UGH.
