This Naming Business is Difficult!
either Luken Scott A******R or Ethan Scott A******R
I want Luken...dh wants Ethan.
a girl name is really killing us.
I love Lloyd. I think its classic and bold. it was my gpa's name, dad's middle name and is my son's middle name.
Mandy, Mom to Jordan (5), Kaida (3) and Luken (born 12/5/09) Army wife! HW:351 / SW: 328 / CW:149/ Goal weight...what is that?
Abram (this is Simon's middle name)
Silas
Isaac
Lowell
Ross
Edward
Henry (I know..this one has the EEE sound, but its so classic and sturdy)
My next baby, should it be a boy, will be named Linus. Its different, and to me it sounds strong.
Good luck, naming a baby can be an insurmountable task. My Simon Abram was nearly a Silas Abram...Hubby won the battle for his name. Ephram Anderson was about a thousand different names before we decided.
Have fun! Make sure you write whatever you choose on paper before you decide...you have to see how it looks before you commit to it.
Mommy to ~ Ephram Anderson 8/20/06 &
Simon Abram 12/26/07

I like the name "Ross"...and it has EVERYTHING to do with my crush on the Friends character! Of course, I love the name "Chandler" too. "Simon" is one (of the many n-ending names I like, BTW. And Henry is the nick-name of my step-grandfather, Henrick...which is already on my list.
There is a little boy named Linus I know....EVERYONE smiles when they say his name or speak of him....and it has nothing to do with the kid and everything to do with his name. I've never met him, but just know of him and smile when I say his name!

My brothers took them all....Joseph, James, John, Timothy, Micheal(I can never spell that right), Don, Gerald, and Dennis. My son Alex has TONS of friends with "n" names...hehe. What about Lucas, Vincent, Matthew(one of my favorite names of all time), Gregory, Phillip, or Cormac(this one's very Irish though).
DH only likes names that sound like hockey player names(not kidding) which is how we ended up with the spelling for Nikolas. If we ever add another boy, his name will be Matis- a shortened spelling for the Hebrew of Matthew. The long spelling is Matisyahu...so you can see why I won't go there.
Naming drives me CRAZY! I have the next ones picked out, girl or boy and I've set my stubborness to them. Dave knows not to even push. He got his "hockey" name.hehe.
On a funny note, our mothers will hate both of the names. I don't know why I think that' funny--I just do and I couldn't care less.
Good Luck on your Quest!!!

I like the "hockey name" story....my husband is into Golf and Computers/Coding. So, we jokingly refer to the baby as "Java" or "Cobalt" (coding languages) or "Tiger" (as in Tiger Woods).
I like some of your brothers' names...and we have put "Joseph" on our list. I always mess up Michael too....especially since I've seen it spelled multiple ways.
We have NO PLANS to share our baby's name (with IRL friends/family****il he arrives. Because like you, I don't give a rat's ass about whether others actually like the name(s) we select. Plus, it gives us wiggle room to change our minds, etc.

So good to see you here! I miss your posts, y'know. How's that little girl of yours doing? Any recent or new photos to share?
I do like the name Myra...but do have one bad association with it....this college professor of my named "Myra Lee." She ended up being a very mean, evil woman....which I learned the hard way, by working with her while I was still a student of hers. (Bad idea!)
I do like the name Scott....one of my high school crushes was/is named Scott....and the funny thing is that he and my husband really resemble one another as far as looks go! (Funny how that happened!) We don't have any Scott names on either side of the family....and I am of Scotish decent...so I just might have to add it to my list!
