I'm sorry Holly.
If it were a blood clotting issue one would think you would have never carried your first child to term.
I hope you find the answers you seek and I wish you the best!

Oh. my. gosh. You are by far a better woman than I am. I would have foregone the need for a baseball bat, and started reaching for any medical instruments I could. That doctor is lucky to be alive. What an ass. I don't think you are overreacting at all. I can't believe he actually thought he had to remind you about your age and the risk for down's. Seriously? Ugh...
I agree that this has nothing to do with your age, and probably not the clotting issue either, though I don't know anything about that. I trust your intuition that there is another reason here and I hope you find it. I hope you heal well and get your sticky bean soon.
HUGS, sweetie.

The speculum was on the other side of the room and my DH was between me and it.
I've scheduled a telephonic consultation for next week...and I've already emailed the dr w/some of my medical info/test results etc...and mentioned the age/blood clotting & the fact that I don't believe either are the issue...and I hope he keeps that in mind when talking to me and is open minded enough to try to explore alternative diagnosis. It'd be expensive to fly all the way to the states to shove a phone up someone's ass.

I am so sorry you are going though this. You make me think of a very close friend of mine from another message board, she went though exactly what you are going though. They finally found that her husband carried a genetic problem in his sperm that made it so that each pregnancy she concived only had a 50/50 chance, the ones that where not going to make it where gone by six weeks. She ended up having two beautiful children, but it came with alot of loss and heartache in between. I wish I could remember what it was called, so I could give you the name. I am going to try and email her now, and see if a little websearching can turn up the name for you.
Ok, I remembered what it was called! Her husband had what is called a "balanced translocation", they where able to find it after genetic testing was done on both parents.
