Feeding question and a piece of news
First, let's get the question part out of the way...
Sophie is 7.5 mos old and eats her baby food pretty well, but giving a bottle is so much easier. I'll admit it--that's my main thing. It's less messy, it's a lot quicker, it's easier on her and on me. So yeah, I prefer it. She seems equally happy with either solids or bottles. Well no, actually she does show a slight preference for the bottle. My understanding is that babies need more and more nutrition sources the older they get.
So at what age do they actually *need* solids and how much solids do they need? Is it ok to give her a bottle all day except for one meal of solids? Or two meals of solids? My pediatrician said I *could* give her cereals, veggies, and fruits. He did not say I *should* and my parents are hassling me, saying I should be giving her more solids. They are so annoying!
The piece of news is we are moving to Utah in 18 days and we are really excited!
And here is an old photo of Sophie....an oldie but goodie. :) Thanks, ladies!

babies do not NEED solids at all.
Jordan didn't start on solids until we stopped breastfeeding around 8/9 months. he just pushed them away. cereal is just a filler food with no nut value anyway so we went straight to veggies.
Kaida didn't want any part of solids. she was only breastfed for 3 months and then formula. she was easily a year old before she really enjoyed food.
if she is eating them ok like you said you should try to continue them. keep her in a pattern rather than reverting back to only bottles. I would think that might turn her off food and may give you issues later?/
I would think breakfast/dinner? or lunch dinner would be enough to keep her happy but if she wants food...you should give it to her.
