Good Morning Ladies...

I work tonight, so I need something easy for Jer to make.  So I guess I will pull out hamburger meat, since I got chicken into him last night.  LOL  I am contemplating on whether I want to go to the grocery store today or tomorrow.  I don't expect Jer to continue emptying the freezer while I am gone.  Forgot to mention that I leave Thursday afternoon and won't be bac****il Monday morning.  Then Monday night (unless a new job is in my forecast) we leave again to go to St. Louis to pick up Ethan.  I will be back the following day.  Would any of you ladies be so kind as to post the Freezer challenge while I am gone?

Freezer:
Hamburger (shepards pie?)
Corn

Pantry:
Green beans
Seasonings

Fresh:
Onions
Cheese
Potatoes
Garlic

Morning Reminder... take what you need out of the freezer!!

No Problem Bridget! I can post. Have a safe trip!

I am going to make fried pork chops (coated with parm and bread crumbs and spices) with sauteed summer squash and onions

Freezer:
pork chops

Pantry:
panko bread crumbs
olive oil
garlic powder
salt & pepper

Fresh:
parmesan cheese
onions
garlic
summer squash

Last night I went through the chest freezer and kind of took an inventory of what is in there - it is a lot of big things - better invite some people over! lol I have a turkey, 8 pound pork shoulder (I usually make pulled pork from this), 2 whole chickens, and some mystery containers that got tossed! I want to organize the upstairs freezer tonight or tomorrow night - definately before trash day on friday!

Great, Liz!  Sounds like you are really on top of getting your freezer cleaned out.  Thanks for posting while I am gone.  I'm going to Seattle for a friends wedding and don't know when I will be able to get to a computer.

The pork chops sound yummy!

I'm trying! I hate the avalanche when I go to look for something or not having room when I get something new!

A wedding - sounds like fun!

My upstairs freezer isn't too bad.  The downstairs chest freezer is the one where everything gets buried.  Sometimes I wish we would have gotten an upright freezer, but those were more expensive.

Tonight is Beef Stroganoff. Not my favorite but I couln't get to the store yesterday for beef stew ingredients so I am using what I have:)

Freezer
Beef cubes

Pantry
Worcestershire
onion powder
golden mushroom soup
Egg noodles

Fresh
Cream cheese

I am considering also making spicy oatmeal raisin cookies since my 4 yr old told me they were his favorite food and he needed some LOL

Luch from the freezer today will likely be some banquet pot pies that got lost in the back of the freezer. If they are no good (no telling how long they have been there) then it will be tuna melts to move some of the tuna!

Just an FYI... they had a recall on some of those Banquet pot pies a little while ago.  Not sure when, but you may want to check their website.  I know we had one in our freezer and I tossed it because the #'s matched.

WOW!!! THnaksSO much for that heads up.  The recall is dated 2007 (I dont think they are that old) but all of them have the "P9" on them that was included on the recall.  Thats one way to empty out the freezer LOL.... Guess we will be having tuna for lunch!

I don't think mine were that old either... but they had that code on them.... so I tossed them anyway.  Enjoy the tuna!
