Update on us..
Morning Ladies,
I have had a few things going on lately... thought I would post outcomes .. etc.
1) 1/2 Sister baby issue... She is locked up. I got confirmation from the jailhouse. I called and spoke with her brother, my 1/2 brother and yes he has the baby. They are living in some "dump" were the words he used. I proposed me taking Caleb until she was out and settled and he said I would have to take that up with his dad and Brittney. I said, well let me speak to your dad and I heard some talking and then was told he was asleep. So I said.. have him call me in the morning or tomorrow afternoon. I never received a call back and now no one will answer the phone. I don't have an address to call DFS to intervene. I can send Brittney money to purchase a phone card, or set up an account for her to call out on... but I have no guarantee that she will use the money to get a phone card or use the account to call ME. So I am at a loss for what to do on this situation.
2) Ethan (Jer's 9 yr old son that we recently found out about). He is coming for the summer. We pick him up in St Louis on 7/14. He was supposed to stay until just before school started, but now it looks like he will start school here. We talked to her and asked her if he could go to school here with us for the year. She is currently living with her parents and is about to move to Louisiana to get back together with her boyfriend whom she kicked out earlier this year for his failure to get a job. Supposedly, he has a good job there now and she is going there to be with him. No place to live yet...nothing established... etc. So she agreed that she was in favor of the idea as long as Ethan adjusted well over the next few weeks that he is here for the summer. I am sure there will be some adjustment... there always is. This give Jer and opportunity to get to know his son and be a dad to him. It also gives Ethan a chance to get to know his dad and his other siblings. Honestly, from reading her myspace when we first found out about all this, I really think that freedom was her ultimate goal. She said it over and over again that she wanted to be carefree again and not have any responsibilities. I just hope the transition goes well and all the kids adjust.
3) Still job hunting. Had a good prospect... still waiting to hear something. The lady said with the holiday weekend that it would probably take a little longer to hear anything. It is an accounting position for Materials Research Society. They use the same software that I have used at two other companies. So here's hoping.
4) Pinched a nerve in my lower back I guess. That is why my leg has been hurting so much... especially with any activity. I haven't been able to excercise or walk at all. I did do a lot of house cleaning yesterday and got my whole basement up to snuff and organized. Jer put all my shelves up that we got at Construction Junction. Now I am able to store all of my party platters and excess kitchen items that I don't use on a regular basis and free up some kitchen cabinet space. It was a real steal for the cabinets.... they are reclaimed/recycled from demolition sites. They are just basic cabinets ... kinda look like they were taken out of an office kitchen area. Anyway.. they work great and it was just $25 for the 3 of them. I wish they had more to match... my basement walls would be filled with tons of storage. I also found some woodshop cabinets and a bence on craigslist for free for Jer's utility room. Those fit perfect... now he has a place for all his junk and tools. He just needs to get in there and organize it all (again)
5) Sydnee went for her 15 month check up... at 17 months. She was already a month late due to an illness that pushed her back a month at 12 months. Then they called to reschedule because they booked her on a day the doctor wasn't there. So anyway.... she is still only 18lbs 4oz and 29 1/2 inches long. She is staying on her small growth curve for height, but tapered off in weight. She eats great... sleeps well.... the past 2 wks she has been a little pain in the neck eating some meals... but honestly, I really think it is a phase. He wants her to drink more milk... I told him it is a chore to get 12 oz in her. He wants a minimum of 16oz. YEAH RIGHT!! She only drinks it warm, from a bottle, and when she is getting ready to sleep. He said no more than 4oz of juice, even if it is watered down. So I told him, I only give her Juicy Juice or the Harvest select Juicy Juice (veggies) and it has a serving of veggies in it. She eats good food, too. Meat, veggies, fruit, dairy, carbs... a variety of stuff. She drinks water, too. I think she is just going to be petite... I don't know what else he wants me to do... I can't shove the crap down her throat. He asked if I tried chocolate milk.. I said yes, chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, soy, organic, carnation instant breakfast ...etc. If it is cold, flavored, or in her cup... she will spit it out as soon as she realizes it is milk. She is quite the pill. LOL She is very independant and smart. She is talking up a storm and is very adventurous. We were at the park and she started to climb the big big slide. The old fashioned metal ones... so I climbed up behind her and she sat down and Jer caught her halfway down the slide. She didn't want to stop. I think she is developing perfectly and is just small. Perhaps the doc is being overly cautious. Any thoughts?
Anyway... just a little (long) update on us. Hope you all are doing well. Here are some photos. =)
Eating ice cream cake on Fathers Day
She had something to say and demanded that we listen.
She felt much better after getting it all off her chest.
She was gearing up for a busy day at the office. Surprisingly... she can walk quite well in those heels... probably even better than mommy. LOL Considering heels are a ankle breaker phobics nemisis. hahaha
Hugs!

Holy Smokes, girlfriend!!! Will Jer still have to pay back child support if he has Ethan? Something to look into.
You know I am here for you whenever you need me! If you want to walk the mall or let the girls play again, let me know. Stress relief needs to come!
And as always, Sydnee is ADORABLE!!! She is doing fine!
