Freezer Challenge day #1
...or #2 for some of us. LOL
Today I am going to utilize some round steak Substitute CHICKEN I have in the freezer and make steak burritos.
Freezer component:
Round steak CHICKEN... that wasn't round steak that I saw... it was ham. LOL So we'll use chicken and have grilled chicken burritos.
Fresh components:
Whole wheat burrito wraps
lettuce
tomato
onion
cheese
sour cream
Pantry component:
Canned organic black beans
This is your morning reminder to take out whatever you need to cook this evening, or tomorrow evening, too.

I'm sick as a dog, but managed to get my ass in the kitchen long enough to throw dinner in the crockpot. I'm making a brisket.
Normally, I would do this low and slow in the oven, but I couldn't be bothered to be checking on the damn thing all day.
Freezer: Brisket
Pantry: Tomato puree, tomato sauce, french onion soup mix, red wine (normally I would use Mogen David because after all, I'm making a Jewish brisket, but I'm out, so I subbed in a little marsala because it's sweet and along the same lines. I didn't want to crack open a bottle of red wine for this), brown sugar, regular sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and a few potatoes.
Fridge: Ketchup

My freezer is empty.....LOL. But I will gladly use up some meats for those of you who need help emptying your freezer!
This is a good idea though. I should get my mom to do it.....she is always complaining of using up the meats but never does.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
