an update on us
Hi all.... it's been a crazy couple of months but I hop on here every few weeks to read up on everyone. Congratulations to all the new moms and moms to be, lots of love for those TTC.
I have an official date for baby #3- September 10th I go in for my C section and tubal. I'm starting to get cold feet about the tubal because everyone keeps asking me if I'm 100% sure I don't want another. I think three is plenty for our family, I'm pushing 40 and my husband has no responsiblilty with birth control. I've been pregnant at least a few weeks in every year since 2004 and I never really got a chance to enjoy my post op body (1st baby conceived at 10 mos post op). Am I sure... yes, 100% sure... hell no! But if I don't do this now, I'm never going to. I'm fine- weight gain is typical, more tired this time around but I'm keeping up with my vitamins. I can't wait until this pregnancy is over! Being pregnant in the summer stinks! Thank god for spandex
My 3 1/2 year old Danny is still having a tough time with his kidney disease, in December he was diagnosed with Minimal change disease and childhood nephrotic syndrome. The predinsone has put so much weight on him no matter what restricitve diet we've put him on. They started him on a powerful chemo type drug that is supposed to prevent the syndrome from returning but it's 12 weeks of hell and bad side effects. In spite of all that's going on with him, we finally potty trained him and he is in PreK now, 4 mos earlier than he should be but the teachers feel he needed to be in a higher class. He's so cute and a proud big brother. He tells everyone who will listen that mommy has baby Ryan in her belly =o)
Josh just turned 2 and this time around, the twos are terrible! He loves dancing, singing and temper tantrums. He's a typical redhead- always into trouble! He has no fear, climbs right up to the top of our swing set and flies down the 11 foot slide without batting an eye. Dives into the baby pool head first! I'm in deep doo doo with this one =o)
That's the update... thanks for reading this far... you're a real trooper!!! =o)
Hugs-
Janine

I totally forgot that you were pregnant! I'm having another baby too (due 1 day before Hannah's 2nd B-Day in Feb).
Sounds like Danny is going to excell in school! Josh...Oh my...you have your hands full!
I can't wait to see pictures of baby Ryan! I heard someone say that a tubal immediatly following a c-section doesn't work as well. Something everything being swollen and the tubes coming united. I've done any research on it, so I doubt it's true. Don't the burn the tubes also? Might be worth mentioning to your doc.
Thanks for updating,
Amy

Sounds like you have a lot going on but you are doing a great job. I know how you feel about being asked if you are 100% sure. Thats never been a thought for me as 100%. More like pretty much I am definate but there is always a part of me that will miss being able to. Yet you will know when you are ready. Sounds like Danny is going to do well in school. Love the FUN 2"S!!

Hey! It's good to hear from you! I'm glad things are going well with this pregnancy. Josh sure seems to be keeping you on your toes. Re Danny...even though he's having horrible side effects from the current meds, I hope they're temporary and that as soon as they're done, he's feeling better and doesn't have any more flair ups w/the kidney problems. It's good that he's already started school - even if it is a little early. Just goes to show you have a little genius on your hands!
Post some pics when you can...and keep us posted on how you're doing.
