So... I went in for my monthly appointment. After questions were asked and answered....  she tried to find heartbeat of the baby with the doppler thingy. She couldnt find it  :(    but she was trying to assure me that it doesnt mean anything. (no one ever had a problem finding my son's heartbeat... ) So anyways... she did an ultrasound... even though I wasnt supposed to get one until July 27 for my gender/anatomy ultrasound.
But... there it was... a beautiful heartbeat. 149! :-)    I asked about the gneder... just ont he off chance. but the baby had "its" ankles crossed and the knees were together.  So I will just have to wait.... oh well. Im just happy everything is great.

(I had a MC in september so kinda paranoid... lol)

On another note. Still having my headaches... everyday. Went to the Chiropractor two days ago to try to get it to go away... no help.

Dr. is having me try Imitrex (never taken it). Has anyone taken it?????  My Fioricet is just not helping. 5 days with CONSTANT headache 24/7... NOT COOL!!!

I'm glad your appointment went well. The first time they tried to listen to my LO's heartbeat with the doppler they weren't able to get it either. The doctor said it was because of the scar tissue in my stomach that it was hard to pick up. I was given an internet U/S as well and there it was pumping away. That had to be a scary moment for ya - but at least it turned out positive!

I'm sure that was scary.....but I'm glad that she was able to do a U/S right away and find it.

Which Doc is having you try imitrex? i used to use it for migraines but was told NOT to take it while pregnant.
"Pregnancy Category C ... There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Therefore, IMITREX should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus."

Has your blood pressure been checked?
My doc actually had me take hydrocodone instead.

My regular OB (which is the only one I see) is having me take Imitrex.  Im gonna ask the pharmacist about it when I pick it up.  The dr checks my B/P everytime I go for a visit.

My OB says because my headaches can go for 5 days at a time and I am take a bunch of Fioricet because of it... IF the imitrex works... I will in the end,  be taking less meds. So she told me to directions are. Take one and it "Should" stop the headaches with that one pill and if it doesn't, I can take one more 2 hrs later... but no more than 3 in a day.

Also...I reada the article... and maybe she thinks its ok because I am out of my first trimester...?? I have no idea,,,
Thank you for all your helps girls...

Hope your headaches end soon. I have had horrible migraines for 20 years. When we found out i was pregnant my OB had me stop taking my Topamax (Preventative), Imiitrex, and Maxalt all together. He gave me a RX for Stadol nose spray. I did get the Stadol filled, but have been afraid to use it.......i always puke when i try "Big" drugs for my Migraines. I currently take Tylenol, or Excedrin Tension Headache (No Asprin in it).

I can relate and really hope they end soon for you!
