getting nervous
OK So I am a class "A" worry wart, sorry to keep asking questions. I am back to bleeding heavily again and lots of big clots. The cramps are killer. I am going to call the OB first thing in the morning unless it gets any worse. Still a bit dizzy and lightheaded. She told me if it wasn't all gone (done bleeding and feeling better) to call on wednesday so they could see me before the holiday weekend - so I'll be sure to call early tomorrow leave a message for the nurse.
My hubby is getting frustrated because he doesn't like to see me upset / uncomfortable. And I am getting worried - I know it can be normal to bleed for 2 weeks - but my Dr seemed confident that it would be over in about a week and getting lighter every day. maybe my body is confused and is now having a normal period - almost what it feels like (just with more larger clots)
This is the only place I can talk about it to people who have maybe been there or can sympathize. Sorry to whine/complain ladies - just nervous and that's how it's coming out
THanks for listening *hugs*

I bled a lot when I had my first d&c. I had to wear those big post partum pads that resemble diapers for about 8 days. I also passed a lot of uterine tissue and blood clots. I was farther along almost 15 weeks, so maybe that is why mine was this way. The bleeding I experienced was FAR worse than a period. I hope that things take a turn for the better for you.
Sometimes they don't get all the placenta out and it can come out in big clots like that. You need to go to the doctor or even the ER if you're bleeding through 1+ pads per hour. It can be serious. Sometimes they have to go in and get whatever's left out. Please don't try to "brave" this out.
Hugs,
Angie

I am glad you can come on here and get some info also. I know after my last D&C I bled pretty good for awhile and it would slow down and get worse after a bit and it was horrible pain. I had lost almost 2 pints of blood also so I was so darn cold. This happened right before Christmas actually about 6 days really. I know it is very hard and everyone is different. Just stay calm and do everything the doctor tells you to do. Its always better that way. :) We are always here for you!

Heya girl -
Did you call your Doc yet?? Honestly from what you are describing if it were me I would go to the ER. When I had my miscarriage I did not have a D&C or D&E, I had a natural miscarriage at home. I bled heavily with clots and passed the placenta and sac for about 6 hours one day - than passed a few more clots the next day. The bleeding became lighter and lighter and was gone in a week. I was just shy of 12 weeks - when they found that my baby had stopped developing at about 7 weeks. Take care of yourself and your body. You need to be as healthy as possible for your future babies! :)
Keep us posted ok??? Hang in there!
