Appointment Update
What a manic Monday this is. But I thought I would just post real quickly to update everyone on my appointment from Friday. It was technically a 34w5 day appointment but they're counting it as my 35 week appointment.
As of my 32 week appointment - Drew was running about 2 weeks ahead of schedule and was toeling breech. My OB gave me some positions to get into and what not to try and help him turn so that the doctor wouldn't have to turn him (which I heard could be pretty painful and risky.) So I religiously every night got on all fours on my bed and rocked back and forth for 10 minutes...
It paid off!
Drew is now (word for word from the doc) "head down, face down, and ready." I freaked a little when he said "ready" and he said "oh don't worry he still have a few more weeks AT LEAST. Don't freak out yet." He still thinks he is running a little ahead of schedule so he's predicting an early birth - but with my luck he'll be 2-3 weeks late (especially since my mother is wishing that on me because I was 23 days late, oops! Her original due date with me was the same as my due date, August 2nd and I never showed until August 25th.) His heartrate was higher than normal at 152 (he's been averaging around 130-135) but they weren't concerned. And they're guessing he's around 6lbs. right now.
So it was a successful appointment - thank god because I worry every time I have one. I was supposed to be on weekly visits now but taking time off of work is so hard for me that he's letting me come back in 2 weeks instead of 1 unless I start having some issues.

Oh I'm so glad he turned for you! If that happens to me I will refuse to allow my doctor to try to turn my baby because the same thing happened to my bff and her placenta was too small and the doctors didn't know and her son was born w/ cerebral palsy due to the lack of oxygen during each contraction. She did an hour of contractions while the doc was pushing on her to get her baby to move alone. I can't help but wonder if that played a big part in his cp.
Sorry to hear what happened with your friends baby. They say there are plenty of risks when the doctor has to turn the baby - the cord gets wrapped a lot. Needless to say I was beyond happy when the doctor said he flipped on his own. I was sure that he was sideways because I always felt rolls and kicks from side to side - guess he was just shaking his behind. :-)
Well I am glad your ahead, I went to my appointment this morning thinking my 35 week appointment, well they changed my due date to August 10th. Measuring behind, gosh there is no one that wants this over more than me now I get pushed ahead a week. Sorry mini rant...she was 4 1/2 pounds head in position ready to go.
It's coming soon!! YAY
