Newbie here.....
Hi there I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jennifer my hubby and I have been married for almost 9 years ( 8/25) and TTC for most of that time. Well on 4/29/08 I had RNY and lost 100lbs to date well on Easter Sunday we found out that we were expecting. Shocked does not even begin to describe the feeling. I have suffered a long time with PCOS ( like alot of my overweight sisters) and I just knew the WLS would help that, but as I was getting closer to my year out I was concerned. My cycle still wasn't normal ( up until 2 months before my BFP) and I just thought well maybe this wasn't meant to be. But a month before we were actually gonna start "trying" again it happened, at least that was the less stressful way, b/c as much as I wanted a baby I was not looking forward to that process again ( mostly b/c I was always disapointed) But I just wanted to say hello and hope that I get to know you ladies here. Oh and my EDD is 12/17. I just had my 16 week check up this morning and all is good. BP good, sugar ( was diabetic before surgery insulin and pills, but now nothing) and the babys HR was 140 ( people keep saying boy) but I'm thrilled with whatever we get. My office is scheduling my " big" u/s for 3 weeks I will know the date sometime this week, can't wait to find out what this little one is( I just can't imagine the will power it takes to wait until delivery, but apparently I don't have willpower or maybe I wouldn't have been fat to begin with, lol) But the only thing negative about today was my weight. I have gained more than I think is Ok but my Dr. didn't say a word about it so hopefully I can put a stop to it before it gets out of control. I find it very traumatic to gain weight even though I know it's for a good cause it concerns me, but I guess that is normal. well if you made it this far thanks. Can't wait to get to know you all. P&PT's.
Congratulations on your weight loss and the miracle of your pregnancy! I suffered with PCOS and relied on meds, prayers and years of TTC and MMC before being blessed with 2 preop children and 1 postop.
This is a great forum full of wisdom, support and kind spirits. Congratulations and I look forward to sharing in your journey!

Congrats and welcome!! I swore I was reading my own story when I was reading your post. Well, except I got pregnant 4 months post op. OOPS! :-) But you and I had very similar pre-op lives. LOL.
Good luck to you! I'm due with twins Dec 6th. 2 weeks to the BIG u/s! I can't wait to find out either!

Oh we are very close. I'm having a c-section. I had to have pins in my hips when I was 12 so a c-section will be safer and the more I think about it, it will keep the hoohoo intact so I'm Ok with it, lol. So I'm hoping for the 8th of december ( my Dr. does his planned sections on Tuesdays) as long as everything is Ok of course. P&PT's.
HI Jennifer,
