My list of a couple of questions .
Hi Beth.........
1. Nope, we use the same detergent for all of our laundry. Nothing different. If you think you do need something different, I hear All Free & Clear is great. My nephew had fragrance allergy and that's what she ended up using.
2. No idea, didn't nurse
3. I had to be in gown till IV's came out, then I just wore my own stuff. I wore my comfy Jammy pants and tank top. (I was always hot)
4. I don't think it's tacky to suggest gift cards. If they are asking......then be honest. There's no sense in suggesting something you don't need because you are afraid of what they think. To me.....if they are asking, then they care about getting you something you can use.

Hey Beth!
1. I use the Kirkland/Costco "free" HE detergent for the first few months and gradually start washing socks and such in the Tide HE. I use Bounce "free" dryer sheets and then start using the regular Downy. Thankfully none of our kids have fragrance allergies.
2. I purchased really nice nursing bras online with my 1st PG from Bravado Designs. I selected the jersey sport-bra type and loved them.
3. I brought my own PJ's for days 2-4, pants and button up short sleeve shirts. The nurses were kind enough to lock the IV so I could get dressed each morning.
4. The first shower, I had a lot ask and then not give anything so the second and subsequent showers, I would thank them for their offer and say that we had all the furniture and clothing we needed. Then I would say that we would always have changing, feeding and bathing needs but I was confident that we could save money by doing that type of shopping at Walmart or Costco, or whatever store. This was an indirect way to say that items were still needed without me feeling greedy by telling them to get me a gift card. Hopefully that makes sense?
Did your children have fun with all the baby gifts? I remember how excited I was looking at all the outfits from the shower when my mom was expecting my brother. Time flies!
Hugs,

My daughter Alli LOVED going through all the gifts with me! then my oldest today was so excited to see the cradle and all set up in my room! When you see the clothes and things it makes it more real!
Hugs back at ya!!

1 - I never did, and probably won't with this baby either. We all have pretty sensitive skin, so I use All Free and Clear or Arm N Hammer for Sensitive skin.
2 - I am glad you asked this question because I was wondering too!
3 - I didn't last time because I was in the hosptial for 8 weeks with the triplets, and I was SO huge that nothing really fit me very well, or was comfortable enough to spend 24 hours a day in bed in LOL So I just wore the hospital gowns they gave me (I had to wear these extra large ones with giant arm holes, I always felt like I was practically naked LOL). This time I think I am going to pick up something cute, so that I can walk the halls without my rear end hanging out, and so that when my whacky ass inlaws show up I don't have to feel like everything is hanging out.
4 - If they are asking, tell them what you need! I would.
