question for my fellow MC "Groupies"
So we all became members of a club NO ONE wants to belong to - but I have another question.
I had my D&E friday 6/19 (over a week ago) the bleeding had almost stopped thursday and was barely there friday/saturday (very very little brown spotting if any) well today it was back to like the first day of my period - really heavy - really deep red color (sorry TMI I know). I am going to call the Dr tomorrow morning when they open anyway - I have been getting really light headed and my blood pressure has been lower then normal. Sound normal?
Thanks ladies.

THanks Jackie - I am definately going to call. My Mom was thinking maybe my iron is low if I lost a lot of blood/tissue with the D&E not sure.... guess it is better to call and let the pro's make the call!
How are you doing? I had some friends over today and just sat and talked about everything - it really helped

Nope, does not sound normal, call your doc ASAP if you are feeling light headed or dizzy! About six days after my last D&C I started to bleed really heavily and pass clots. I went to the ER and they gave me metergen (sp?)(SUCKED), but it helped to stop the bleeding and finish clearing things out so that I could move on to a "normal" cycle.
I have not had a D&C or D&E w/any of my mc's....but never experienced anything like this. I don't know if it'd be different w/either procedure...but if you start getting too light headed or it lasts a while...I wouldn't wait until tomorrow to call the dr.
I hope it clears up soon and that things are getting better for you. I know it sounds trite to say that time will heal...but it really does. Not that it won't leave an emotional scar...but it will heal.

I did have bleeding on and off for a couple of weeks. I don't know what is "normal" but if you're getting light headed too then definitely call the doctor. If you really feel something is not right, MAKE them see you, and actually do something to look and make sure you're ok. Your body is trying to get rid of everything, and sometimes it takes a little while to get all the "gunk" out. I hope you get to feeling better soon!

I don't know if it's normal or not but the light headed thing doesn't sound right... I would definitely give them a call in the morning or call the on-call physician sooner... They may need to give you something to calm things down...
I had a D&C and a tubaligation on the 18th and I am still bleeding on and off too.... I've looked online to see if this is normal and some sites say you can bleed for a while like that.... Its not heavy bleeding but enough to be annoying to me...
Anyhow goodluck with everything hon... I'm sure you will be feeling better soon but definitely call your doc and ask questions to be safe...
