A few questions.
1) I read in my pregnancy boys that you are not left side is how you are suppost to sleep. Expecially once you hit 12-13 weeks. I got the pregnancy week by week book and that's what it says. You should at least try and get your body use to sleeping on that side. I always wake up and am on my right side or back. I turn myself back over.
2) I was attached to my baby as soon as I found out i was pregnant! I heard hat heartbeat and was on cloud 9! I tell peanut EVERY NIGHT "Mommy loves you sooo much" and so does my hubby. So yes that's normal!!!

1) You should try now to train yourself to sleep on your left said as other posters have said.
2) Yes, I was 100% attached from the moment I found out. I lost the baby at 8 1/2 weeks and it was devestating. Hubby was so excited about it too and we were so sad when we lost it.
Enjoy your pregnancy and have a healthy and happy 9 months!

I slept on my tummy up until I delivered Libby. I was tiny though, most didn't know I was really pregnant.

I slept on my stomach until I was about 20 weeks, then it just got too uncomfrotable. They "suggest" that you sleep on your left side, but honestly that is only the case if you are high risk, have pre-term labor or swelling. I sleep on my right side every night and doc said its fine, unless I am trying to reduce swelling in my legs, then I should spend as much time on my left side as I can. You just want to avoid sleeping on your back after about 18 weeks, because there is a main artery that runs behind the uterus, and the blood flow can be slowed by the weight of baby and uterus. If you are almost 8 weeks, you probably have a doc's appointment coming up, I would just ask what they suggest and go with that, since every book, doctor and pregnant woman I have ever talked to says something diffrent LOL
It is totally normal to be attached, even though this baby was a shock, I loved him as soon as I saw those two pink lines.

I was/am a tummy sleeper too, so I know how hard it is to switch. My OB said it was fine until about 14 weeks or so, but each Dr is different.
I was attached to my babies before conception, after TTC so long and MMC. Totally normal and great that you're feeling it!
