One thing to remember too, is that when we start exercising more our muscles are strained (thats the way we get tighter stronger muscles!) and our bodies hold on to more water at that time to help to repair them. As our musles get more used to the exercise, the body lets go of the water and we see a loss! So whenever you change up your exercise routine, you run the risk of this water weight gain/maintain.

It sounds like you are on the right road! Just keep doing what you are doing and you will see that scale move.

WOW!  Great job!  Your persistence, even when you felt you were wasting your time, definitely paid off big time!

AWESOME, Jennifer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am really happy for you!!!  I forgot to weigh this morning!  We had too much to do before leaving for Kennywood and it just wasn't on my mind.  I will weigh tomorrow morn and post.  I am also seeing the doc and getting the results of my bloodworkin the morn.  Will see how my scale compares to hers.

Congratulations! I have seen my weight creep up 50 pounds of the past 1 1/2 years and now being pregnant I am sick over it. Can I just join the group for maintenance? Great job though. I hope to be following in your footsteps soon.

Hi there!

I don't know how old your baby is, but mine is nine months old, and i lost 10lbs last month after a stall -and yo yo-ing up and down for 8 months!! I really thought i was doing everything right, although if i think about it now it is very hard to keep good eating habits with the two little ones-one is 3 years old.  i am a little dispondent because of the stall, and it feels as if my clothes are getting tighter again-i am too afraid to step onto the scale!!

I often eat too little and not very often because of my hectic schedule, but i think i really have to put in more of an effort!

congrats on your lbs lost! we are around the same weight now, and i hope we will both start shedding the lbs and be well on our way to our ideal weight!

Hello, Congratulations on your loss so far. The stall was mentally awful because I felt I was doing everything right. My youngest is 18 months old and still nursing so I don't want to go too low on the calories but I didn't want to wait any longer to try and lose weight. I am one of the few that gains weight nursing. My 3 week check up I was 217 and when I started this a year later I was 240 and I have never supplemented.

Good luck to you this week. I am just hoping that I don't stall again and that next Monday the scale continues to be good!

What is your goal? I am only 5'4" so I am still obese. I am shooting for 130 but if I find myself happy at a different weight then I will stop and learn how to maintain.
