OT: Handheld Vacuums

I need help.  We are looking for a handhelp vacuum that we can use to clean up Libby's high chair messes and our new boat.  We prefer something cordless and one that has good sucking power.  (I would rather get a dyson handheld because I love our dyson but it's a bit pricey)  I have never had good luck with handhelds because they never really seem to do their job or they stop working after a few times of being used.  Any suggestions??  If I can't find one then I think I might just tell DH that we are getting a  corded, wet/dry, vacuum.

I am thinking I might just have to say NO to the handheld and get a wet/dry vac.  Besides, we are going to be using it in the boat and you can't use the handhelds on anything that is wet (usually).
