I'm sorry you're going through this worry! My first 2 were head down, emergency c-section and scheduled c-section respectively. My 3rd was also scheduled c-section. 3 days prior to cs, head down. The morning of cs, @ 39 wks and an hour prior to my cs, he was breech. Final OR u/s, 30 minutes later, he had flipped and was head down. He just had an u/s of his hips last week and all is well. Soooo, it is definitely possible for babies to turn at the last minute.

Hugs,

Jo

well thank you for ur sympothy! :) im just doing all i can right now to try the tricks for makin this lil guy turn around! the fact that im going to have to schedule a date....and possibly have my water break and have to to an emergency C section just kinda scares me. things seemed to goooooood throughout this pregnancy so i guess sumthing was bound to happen! im hopin that by next week he has moved a tiny bit to give me a glimpse of hope....Dr's all seem to be certain that he is nicely snuggled where he shouldnt be and he isnt going anywhere......all i can do is pray now and try all these lil tricks to get em to move :) hopefully everything will work out and he will still be a healthy lil baby!

I have heard of babies flipping too...but I would check to see if they can help....I have not had this happen but my SIL did and she said it hurts...just to warn you...but we all have diff varies of pain tolerance.....I hope he flips on his own....

I had a c-section and it went great...mine was due to my son being measuring large...and it worked for us perfectly as my husband is in the navy and we got to plan for him to be here...was very nice......

Hugs and Prayers!

My husband and I have just recently moved so I had to get a new OB.  At the first appointment with him, he changed my Due Date and told me that I would be getting a c-section because the baby is breech.  I kept telling him that there's plenty of time for it to turn...but he told me in no uncertain terms that due to my wonky uterus it wouldn't turn and when I asked for him to do it manually he told me that he wouldn't bother because the likelihood of it being successful wasn't good so wasn't worth the effort of even trying.  I've only got two weeks left to go now and I'm on the verge of looking for another OB just for a different opinion.  I had my heart set on a vaginal delivery but am kind of getting used to the idea of a c-section now if that's the only option...since I'm not a doctor though I have no idea what other options I have!  It's all so confusing...I just want the best for my baby.  Plus the doctor has completely scared me saying that even if the baby does turn by itself this late in the pregnancy they will still look at doing a c-section as the likelihood of the cord betting wrapped around it's neck is too high of a risk...I just think he likes the convenience of doing c-sections when they suit him...but he's still got me scared!

Good luck to you.  I hope it all works out for you.  The most important thing is that precious little miracle that you will get to hold in your arms at the end of it all!
