just found out i'm pregnant and only 10 months out
Hi,
I got pregnant at nine months out, I had a healthy 8lb 12oz 21inch baby boy. He is now six months old. My pregnancy was normal I gained 30lbs in the 1st trimester I lost wt and the nut encouraged more calories so I stopped worrying about wls and just ate several small meals a day. around 3 months post-partum the baby wt was gone but I haven't been able to lose any more I am now putting a strict focus on getting back on track. I just had a two year surgiversary.
Congrats! Enjoy being pregnant, worry about the weight later.

Congrats and welcome! There are plenty of women here who have had babies early after their surgeries, the vast majority w/o any complications. I'm sure they'll pipe up here...and if you just hang out and read replies...you'll 'meet' them.
I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy!

This is on the boards about 2x a week! :-) FIRST, CONGRATS! Second - don't worry or be scared! You'll be fine!
I got pregnant 4 months post op. I was still on 800 calories a day and had to up it to 1000. I delievered a VERY healthy 10.5 lb baby boy! Somehow, I still managed to gain 50 lbs in my pregnancy - however - I lost 42 of those pounds within 2 weeks.
Now, some women still lose, some don't gain any, some gain less than 15-20, then there's ME. :) You aren't considered high risk just because you had surgery...matter of fact, you'd probably be high risk WITHOUT the surgery.
Make sure to switch to a prenatal vitamin or add folic acid to the regular ones you are already taking. Continue with your other suppliments like calcium and iron and b12 - if you take them. By the second trimester, you just need to add 300 calories a day to your diet. It's super easy to do! You'd be amazed how easy! Just a handful of nuts, trail mix, cheese, etc...
Good luck to you and hope to see you keep coming back! There is a wealth of info here from these gals!

I found out I was pregnant in late May and I just had my surgery in December. I share your concern but the ladies here will make you feel right at home. Someone who posted earlier got it right, just eat several meals a day. It's what I have been doing and so far so good. I am nearly 10 weeks along now :)
