Baby language

Hi everyone,

I don't know if you saw the Oprah a few years ago with the lady who said that babies speak words?  Well, when my son was born, I decided to listen really hard when he cried to see if I could make out any differences.  He doesn't say the words she said he would, but he does say different words!  He says, "AHHHHH!" when he's in pain (needs to burp) or uncomfortable (diaper change), and "AH LAAAAAAAAAAH" when he's hungry.  It's so cool to be able to listen for that.  Sometimes he also says "MAAAAAAH," but I haven't figured out that pattern yet.

Has anyone else had an experience like this?

Its called Dunsten's baby language... you can look it up on wikipedia.  Bryson SO did it!  IT only lasts for about the first 8 weeks, and then their own language starts to kick in, probably in response to what they've gotten out of you.  I'm glad you're enjoying your little man!
