So, went to Dr. today and she started doing lab work and I am going to do a pelvic ultrasound on tuesday. She thinks that I might have PCOS. What I am wondering it there a chance I can have it with no signs? I didn't think about TTC before the surgery so I can't remember if I had the symptoms. Maybe a few like being overweight and facial hair but thats pretty much it (that I can remember....Life has changed since then LOL)  Those of you who have it do you still experince all the symptoms?

Thanks for the replys,
Janessa

From what I understand there are several symptoms and you only need 2-3 of them to be diagnosed. Facial hair, skin tags, dark skin patches, irregular cycles or no cycles, insulin resistance, the classic ring of pearl look on your ovaries during scans....those are the ones off the top of my head. Your doctor should be able to determine with tests. PCOS can sound scary, but there is alot of good help out there. This is a good place for information too. There is also a good website if you are diagnosed or have questions. soulcysters.com There are lots of us with PCOS that have had success with pregnancy. I have a 17 month old and I am pg with #2. Good luck and keep us posted. Shari

Thanks for the info Shari. I will take a look at the website. I am trying to think the "worse" but would like to know what this all means if I have it.
Thanks again,

I have sever PCOS, and most of my symptoms resolved themselves once I hit about 50 lbs lost BUT I still have cysts on my ovaries and tons of scar tissue from when it was really bad before surgery.

I have PCOS I started taking Metformin in May but I was already pregnant ;) There are alot of us on here that it. Talk to your Dr and they will figure it out. I had irregular periods, when I did have periods I would BLEED VERY HEAVY. I had an U/S done and they confirmed I had PCOS. There are alot of "helpful" meds that will help you get pregnant. Good Luck
