I'm sure this has been asked 100x's......
p.s. if there are any books or resources you can recommend that would be great too.

The egg can survive 24-36 hours after ovulation I believe - we were BD every other day until 2 days after ovulation (from CD10 - 10 days after my period started) then it is about 2 weeks until you should expect your period. YOu can test for pregnancy - well the tests say up to 5 days before your missed period - I would reccomend waiting until you have actually missed your period. I have PCOS too - I tested postitive at 13 DPO (days past ovulation) 3 days before my missed period but just miscarried at 11 weeks- we'll be back to TTC in a month or so - as soon as the OB clears me.
Happy TTC
PS - are you taking a pre-natal vitamin and extra folic acid & calcium? IF you aren't you should start
Thank you so much for your reply. It is very helpful. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I saw your post and wanted to say something but I am new here so i just said a prayer for you. It seems like this is a big family on here. You all know eachother. I look forward to having that support here too.
And nope I am not taking pre-natals but I will pick some up today thanks.

Erika -
Thanks. These ladies are amazing! I just "came on board" about 4 months ago - we started TTC in Feb. Got preggo in April. That book was a HUGE help! I was amazed at how much I was "missing" every month. It isn't expensive and is well worth every penny.
I didn't notice what surgery you had but I swapped out 2 prenatals for 2 multivitamins.
Best of luck TTC. I hope you get your BFP.

I get so excited when I meet other women who have PCOS and are trying to concieve. I didn't know jack crap about any of this TTC stuff. So I got on to Fertility Friend and signed up for a course that is free and they send you e-mails to read so you can learn about Basal Body Temping, Ovulation Predictor Kits, and the whole process. Then if I had any other questions I personally found it really helpful to Google the question.
I go onto this website that is specifically for "Cysters" and it's www.SoulCycters.net. They have an "Infertility&Trying to Concieve" forum there and it's girls & women of all ages. I found that some what helpful too! Welcome and Good luck, and if I can be any help to ya, feel free to PM me =o)
