My BFP!!!! Glad I Bought the T-Shirt!!!
Hey ladies!
I posted a few days ago (Saturday) asking about how long to wait to test for pregnancy. I was 11 DPO and got a negative result that morning, as well as the morning of 9 DPO. I got some wonderful advice from ladies on the board.
On Sunday morning I tested yet again, this time using First Response (as opposed to the dollar store tests I had been using) and got a BFP! The line was fairly faint, so I was hesitant in telling DH. I also took another dollar store test along with it, same thing, negative result.
Sunday was Father's Day, as well as our 6th anniversary, and I really wanted to surprise DH with the news, but I wanted to wait yet another day just to make sure I was reading the faint line correctly. Since Sunday was such beautiful weather here, we decided to work outside all day planting flowers and painting our deck, and put off going out for Father's Day until Monday night (we're celebrating our anniversary on Friday).
Monday morning I took a digital Clearblue Easy test and got my "Pregnant" result as I had anticipated. I told DH to pick out a restaurant where he wanted to eat that night and after we ordered our drinks I gave him his Father's Day card from our little girl, Bella. Then I told him Bella had a gift for him, but he had to find it (which completely confused him!). You guys may remember I ordered a t-shirt back at the first of May. It's a yellow t-shirt with a cute little girl monkey wearing a pink bow and it says "Some little monkey is going to be a big sister" and had her name personalized on the bottom of it. Anyway, I put the t-shirt on underneath the regular shirt she was wearing. It took him a minute, but he finally noticed she had on two shirts and he lifted her outside shirt to read the big news. He was so happy!
It looks like our second addition will be due around March 2nd, 2010. We wanted to wait to try until Bella was 18 months old. I went off BC in March and this was our first month trying. I really didn't think it would happen this quickly! I've got a doctor's appointment next Wednesday and I guess we'll go from there!
Just wanted to share my news with you guys! Thanks for answering my TTC questions these past few weeks! Baby dust to all!
