Thanks Jo. I got out the tape measure and gained an inch on my hips since last month. I want to do the same thing, eat just to soothe but frankly I can't stop crying and I am sick to my stomach. It I were just dieting I could understand it but having walked 41 miles when I HATE doing it and not seeing any results really sucks. In fact, I am one pound heavier then I was before walking all that. After my walk today, I will have walked 201 miles. For some reason I am not as excited as I was about it yesterday...

I say I am going to only weigh myself weekly. But I LIE!

I weigh in the am when I get up. I weight at the Dr. office I work at in the mornings. Then I walk over to the Dialysis unit and try thier scale. Then......once I get to the other office for the afternoon, I step on that one. I keep wanting a lower weight somewhere.

Oh, and I use the Wii about 3-4 times per week and check my weight on there too.

Scales are KILLING me! No clothes fit. I am 3-4 sizes larger than I was pre-preggo, and I can't afford, nor do I want, to buy other clothes. So I squeeze into what I can and have gotten very few things at yard sales to hold me over til I lose it.

But I don't feel like I ever will. I feel the pain too.

No platitudes from me... I know it is frustrating and discouraging.

Sometimes if I slow down or stall, or yes, even gain, I think I may be getting into a rut - eating the same things all the time, eating the same amounts all the time and always doing about the same activity.  This has happened to me numerous times, and then I try something to shake it up a bit.  Maybe I take a little break from exercise (I know... like I do it a lot - lol), or maybe I try to vary my diet and eat fewer calories for a couple of days, or yes, even eat more calories for a few days.  Sometimes, I swear, if I splurge and eat pizza and eat way more calories than I normally allow and then get right back on track, I will lose more weight!  These are just my opinions and things that I try.  Maybe you just need a little "shake"??

With that being said, my weight this morning was 157.8 - a loss of a measley 2/10ths of a pound!  I am not happy, but at least it is a loss and will just try to stay focused.

I have to agree with Tanja - when I lost all my baby weight in 6 months (65 pounds) 30 lbs were gone within a month of having her and the other 35 took about 5 months. I had 1 day a week were I splurged BIG time, I ate every single thing I wanted - pizza, burgers, fries, junk food, anything! And I swear I lost weight every week for the 3 months I was religiously counting my points (I did weigh****chers) and some weeks I lost 3 or more lbs. Maybe you could incorporate WW into what you do already. Thats kind of what I did, if you want to know how to count your points or the number of points you should eat maybe I can help you out.

Please don't smack me (lol), but try not to focus on the weight.   I know you have to be in better shape after walking everyday for 4 months.  Think of how much healthier that your heart is and how much stronger you are in general.  Another biggie...think of what a great example you are setting for you kiddos!

I'm 274 today.... I think it's the same as last week... who knows.... I wish I could stop eating... how do people become anorexic??

I need to lose 15 pounds by August 21st........... I think i'll just cut off half of my thighs and part of my ass.....

I have no advice, but I am sorry that happened.  I was 266.2 this morning.  A couple ounce loss, but I really wasn't focused on that.  Just trying to focus on taking vitamins and protein shakes...not great.  I did take vits, just not every day.  And I didn't even make one shake.  So I will be focusing on that again this week.  I don't feel like I can even try to exercise yet.  I need to take baby steps and get back into good habits.  I am determined to get there, though.

As far as the depression, I am having days where I am feeling better.  I am also having days where I am struggling a lot.  Today was a hard day.  Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Well Jennifer,

As in accordance with my scale obsession and weighing several times per day, I got on this morning and had a 1.5 pound loss from yesterday. It was a little more encouraging. although FINALLY taking a poop after 4 days probably helped. Who knows.

I plan on increasing the amount of protein I take in this week. I am getting back in the habit of adding my protein powder to my morning coffee and will do the same in the afternoon. and then have a protein shake in the evening too. I realize that my protein has been down the last 2 weeks or so.

I can relate...my weight fluctuates so bad..its depressing ..I have been eating crap , no****ching lately and I am lower today.. so who knows.. the scale sucks
