I'm just wondering

How much water do you usually drink each day?

And if applicable, do you find it has any effect on  a) ease of blood draws b) fertile cervical mucus

Thanks in advance!

Hey Lisa....

My first reaction is NOT ENOUGH....lol...I try really hard to do at least 64 ounces....lately I am miserably failing on that....I am bringing to jugs of crystal lite to work starting tomorrow...I am hoping that will help me.....I know it helps on ease of blood draws for me and never noticed anything for the fertile cervical mucus mainly because I never thought to.....

What are you drinking?

Take care,

Ann

Hi Ann,
Not enough here either... I'm pretty bad with my water. And although I've never actually had a problem with dehydration- I had a really bad time on Friday trying to get my blood drawn for my 3 year labs. In fact I only got 5 of the 9 vials done, so I will have to go back in a few days to do the rest. I'm increasing it now, and i will try to keep it up from here on, and hopefully that will help

Good luck to us both!

Hi Lisa--

In the height of my fertility treatments, one of the phlebotomists talked to me at length about hydration and how it makes finding veins easier...they're bigger and more prevalent. That particular morning I hadn't had a drop to drink/eat...so she had to go to great lengths to find a vein. She even whipped out a warming gel thingy to put on my arm for a few minutes...which really did the trick. So, from then on, I always drank a ton on my way in for blood draws.

HTH,

I drink so much water, well over 120 ounces daily I could probably float away. LOL With that being said I have low potassium problems due to excessive water consumption, which at times leads to such severe leg cramps I black out, so in my case I am trying to cut back. But since having my RNY in 2004 I have drank this much. I feel it keeps my weight down.
