Insomnia...

someone, please just knock me out!  Any tips or tricks for falling asleep when your mind and body don't want to?

I've had the same issue lately.  I told myself yesterday that maybe I should TRY and STAY UP?  That used to work when I was a kid!  LOL!  
You could try a warm bath or a cup of milk?  I dunno...let me know if you find something that works.

I read somewhere that you should just get up and do something you don't like (clean the toilet, filing, etc). After 2 nights, your brain will associate waking with crap jobs and you will be tired enough to sleep. I don't know if it works, but at least you'll have a clean toilet LOL

Insomnia is a beast!!! I usually just get up out of bed for a little bit and do something else. When I get sleepy I go back to bed. Not much help, but it beats lying there going crazy.

Insomnia sucks big time!!!  I agree with the getting up and doing crap work and maybe that will make you sleep. Meditating works for me. My husband is suffering from it right now. Good Luck!

My doc gave me Ambien to take....it works great!

I wish I had the magic answer.  I even tried tylenol pm which my dr ok'd and that doesn't do me any good either.  My wake up time is about 3 am and then I am pooped by 6 or 7 when my son is waking up.  I hate it and wish I could just get a good nights sleep before the baby comes but it doesn't look too hopeful!
