Confused... Can you help?
Is it true that you ovulate 14 days before the start of your next period? For example.... I had an US on D14 and the doc said you already ovulated but we dont know when. Well today is D28 and no AF, so does that mean, if I don't start today, I'm late? I hope this makes since. I know what I am trying to say but Its hard to explain! The doctor said to expect my period early this month if I dont conceive because I ovulated early.
How long are your periods normally? Are they normally 28 days?
I am a textbook clockwork type period woman. I would get my period always between day 27-29. However, even for someone as regular as me, my ovulation day would always vary. I could ovulate on day 15, maybe on day 17, etc. Ovulation day generally is not the same every month and it varies for everyone. So no, it's not true that everyone ovulates 14 days before their periods. That's what they tell you in your 5th grade sex ed class to shut you up. LOL
So if your period has always been a 28 day cycle and day 30 rolls around then yeah, I would say you are late.

Over the last 3 months they have been 28-31 days. I thought O could vary each month but It would always be 14 days before your next period. Well darn that just sucks. I got the book "Taking Charge of your Fertility" and I'm going to read it as quick as I can because I need to know these things! Thank You!!!
